you are right, doc in babel time is not the true doc, his true personality is the Prophet. i guess the Prophet already known the new creatures in Terra because Kaltsit was created by him. Prophet want to place hope in those new life, but someone (probably Priestess) just want the Originium cover over the world, so she modified the prophet's memory or personality to make sure the plan can be achieved.

A lore drop that was overshadowed is the fact that Amiya is a chimera of rabbit and ancient human not rabbit and sarkaz that we thought. Which means originium could be harnessed in a way that it was originally planned by the ancient humans

The story hits different in AK compared to the majority of the other gachas. And MC isn't a bland slate self insert nobody (even if you call it a singularity, a chosen one, whatever, in most gachas MC is still a pretty boring character). That's why I feel that Doctor as a character is a vastly superior one compared to the other gachas.

Dokutah was brainwashed already in the past, finally his said he is not called doc but prophet. Kalisit trust the Prophet, but she don't know the Prophet's memory was changed by someone ( probably Priestess i guess because Prophet had said 'she changed') . and that is why dokutah always want to ask himself "who am i?"

So it's Doctor choose the Future, a happy end. But before that we have to let Originium finish it's process even if it means to sacrifice the current life so we can have a dream life EVERYDAY. Versus Theresa not to choose it. This process of Originium is destroying everything for so long, it's beyond cruel. She wants the current life to have a dream life, even though it only just for TOMORROW. Ark of Tomorrow Tho... we still don't know "it". The thing that pushed the old civilization to the limit and the instinct kicked in as a species they MUST survive, and they made this project about Originium.

So this Babel event is The Big Bang of Arknights story, because this is where the Arknights story started. And since Theresa deleted Doctor memory so he's reborn, pure again without the old civilization ideals affecting Doctor choice and decision on top of Friston abandoned the Perserver project and all Doctor's kin all dead. So the choice is more clearer. Save the current life and save Terra.

I get that in gacha the idea of reviving a character to farm their marketability would be bad taste -(spoiler ahead) . . . . -but at the same time it’s not far fetched to say she can come back into some alter-form, most likely through Amiya’s crown which fits perfectly as dollkeeper alter, maybe even a caster/high-tile version of dollkeeper. in the first place they already in some way “revived” her but only the body, it would be a far badder taste imo to just leave her legacy like that, despite being dead that’s still her body, either give her remaining consciousness a form (a “Chekov’s gun” they couldn’t ignore anyway) -that doesn’t borderline resurrection or at least let her say some parting word to the other side to regain some dignity from them using her body like that
