Older niche games with great osts like this always make me sad because nobody will ever care enough about them to have their amazing music be widely recognized Space Ship and The Village Without Memories are two songs included in my huge list of some of the greatest video game songs. I don’t ever plan on playing Opoona for myself, but it’s a tragedy the game got the reception that it did (dropping it on the same day as Super Mario Galaxy was a horrible move though)

This is one of those good songs to think and work to and was meant for extended listening. Still can't help but come back here for certain headspaces to call upon this melody to draw thoughts from the abyss of the consciousness. Instrumentals like this are helpful in allowing you to build up some mental space to unpack your thoughts and decompress them. The same is true even if you need to change songs to keep that mental flow going in your stream of consciousness.

another thing that helps is just to mindlessly draw whatever comes to mind, draw random poses you think of. a lot of the time i will trap myself in this box that whatever i draw has to serve a purpose, or be a drawing related to my characters. the truth is, every drawing you make serves a purpose, each with a different one. one may serve the purpose of just pleasing you, another may serve the purpose of improving your art style or technique, or maybe one to continue the plot of your story. i hope this helps you, God bless!

I remember playing this game and I love it. My favorite parts was the art thing , the tremendous "lore", the Soundtrack and the jobs. Yesterday, I try to replay this game on a HD tv and this is really not good lol, but I try with a emulator (Dolphin) and I never believe that this game can be so beautiful (in 1080p and higher). All the arts look so much better and characters also. Opoona will always have VIP place in my hearts. A Switch port or a sequel could be so hot. One week before the Nintendo E3 direct. ;)

I only found this song because of the streamer Jabroni_Mike has a nintendo music playlist that plays in the background. I've heard it play twice, first time I tried asking his chat what was the song name, no answer. So when the second time I heard it, a few days ago, I quickly used every reverse music searching option until I found it. I am currently playing the game, and I got the OST on my PC. 👌🏿

Town themes with this kind of quality is hard to come by. Although I haven't played this game before, I'm still able to appreciate magnificent music when I see them. Thank you very much, Kyrin! Other town themes of games I haven't personally played, that are very dynamic and have a great amount of depths, I would suggest include "Southwest Asian Town" from Atlantica Online and "Mechanical Kingdom" from Radiant Historia :) By the way, if no trouble, do you mind taking any requests? Most of the requests are VGM, but there is one that is from the anime Rurouni Kenshin.

You're welcome! Mechanical Kingdom is one of my favorites for sure, so I'll check out the other one you mentioned. As for request, I guess I can take anything as long as I can get my hands on it and it actually loops. Anime OSTs would be a good change of pace as well. So go ahead :)

@@KyrinMusicExtensions A stellar extender by the name of Alkahest already has extended the theme from Atlantica Online, while I'm not quite sure if the sole extended version of Mechanical KIngdom on YT is done well enough though. (although I already have perfectly extended versions for both already). Thank you sincerely! Well, the anime Kenshin track that I'm hoping to see a complete extension, without any static or misplaced loop point, is called "Hiten Mitsurugi Ryuu - Amakakeru Ryuu no Hirameki -A Theme of Hiko Seijurou". The catch here is officially there are 2 versions: the original version and the director's cut version. YT'ber Omnisoldier has uploaded a complete one combining the two smoothly, however YT'ber UNKHKIAYthe2nd has uploaded the original version with a bit higher quality. But if you somehow able find the complete original+director's one in high quality, it'd be really appreciated :) As for the extension length, I'd like it to be around 15 minutes long, with outro properly placed at the end of it. Speaking of which, there was this one time that I've attempted to extend the battle theme of Hiten Mitsurugi Ryuu, my other favorite Kenshin BGM. It's on my Google Drive, if you want me to show it I can transfer it to you. Okay, back to VGM. There is nice YT'ber by the name of さとみch who uploads a lot of obscure Japanese VGM along with her VG playthroughs. I've always been a pretty big fan of the Lunar series, and the fact that she has uploaded many of my favorite tracks but from the versions other than the PSX and PSP made me happy. For now, the tracks I'd like to request extensions for are "Toward the Horizon" from LUNAR on Sega Saturn, "The Final Match Approaches/ Decisive Battle" from LUNAR2 on Mega CD and Sega Saturn, and "Crowded Street Corner" from LUNAR2 on Mega CD only. Since searching for them might require a little bit of Japanese reading, if you have difficulty just let me know. Besides the requesting, I have a whole of list of favorite VGMs, all appropriately categorized such as character themes, world map themes, town themes, battle themes and the like :D

@@futureicon23 I managed to find all the mentioned tracks. Expect one of the Kenshin tracks up soon. Lunar ones however are gamerips as i don't think there ever was CD release for those. And since my only experience with Lunar is SSH on PSP, I can't really confirm whether the Sega rips I found are the best ones. They are in good quality for sure though. And well that's some dedication :D I guess tagging the albums extensively (arrangers, performers, etc and its original japanese characters even though I can barely read them) is as far as I can do :D

@@KyrinMusicExtensions Ah, thank you for your hardwork! Well for the tracks, I think you can just use a YT to mp3 conversion site online (such as convert2mp3.net) to get those tracks mentioned. Definitely, finding them through other methods is extremely hard now. Just would like to mention that I've got the gamerip tracks for SSSC and SSH already, along with many of the rest, so only the tracks previously mentioned would be fine :) For the Kenshin theme, I think Omnisoldier did a pretty good job of combining the 2 versions together, exactly how I like it. In that state, is it still possible to make a satisfying extended version out of it? Of course, in pretty decent sound quality. Good luck!

@@futureicon23 Nah I already got all of them just fine, don't worry. Audio quality would suffer anyway if I just converted KZbin videos, so I never do that. I always try to get a good lossless CD rip to have it extended, unless there's no CD itself (such as Lunar's case). As for combining the two, I have yet to try it. Probably it's possible. No promise though.
