KZ VXS Pro was realised in 2023 and has Bluetooth 5.3. The KZ Xtra is more recent with Bluetooth 5.4 and is truly lossless. It is also quite a bit cheaper.

I'm thinking of trying the kz az20 bluetooth earhook upgrade with a cca hydro. Would the hydro sound better than these or do you prefer the all in one package of the vxs?

Modern recordings are loud, but the sound quality suffers, due to the brick wall filter that gives you the loudness, there is no dynamic range.

Thanks for the review, I am really close to buying this. I have a KZ 10 Pro X that I very much love, but the struggle with the cables is never ending, which is why I'm looking at this now. How would you say the VXS compares? If I like the 10 Pro X, will I also like the VXS?

*I* personally like the VXS Pro more than the 10 Pro X. The differences are more punchy sound signature on the VXS Pro so if you like that - go for them. Other than that the sound staging is really beautiful and I can't imagine how you could be disappointed with the overall sound quality!

In general wired sounds better automatically because there's no loss in the signal as there is with Bluetooth. I would highly recommend the KZ EDC PRO. It is a great place to start for a KZ brand. I've really been enjoying the KZ Saga ( it's a metal build instead of resin) but overall the EDC PRO is a great budget option. It has been well reviewed! Hope that helps 🙂

​​@@thepolishpotato42These are pretty old now, ZVX Pro for a cheap one, and PRX, are two very good new KZ offerings. Zs10 pro 2 is still very good, however.. KZ is suddenly improving radically in its latest releases.

There's also the KZ Carol which I have. I don't have the others to compare it to , but it has decent ANC and very nice sound as well. And looks very cool too!

Thanks for another insightful video. I bought the Xtras after watching your video. Given the price of the VXS pro is twice that of the Xtra, is the sound quality twice as good ?
