I fell in love with the bottle as a child not knowing how long it had been around before I made my appearance on the earth 😃 The bottle is beyond exquisite and the dry down of this perfume is everything. To me the smell has an emotion to it. If the feeling of love were a scent, this would be it.

I wore it starting at age 15, but then at the end of the 80's they changed the formula because one of the ingredients was said to cause allergies. It wasn't a good change for those of us who loved the original formula and gone was the soft powdery, clean scent that was long lasting and brought many compliments. Then the musk was eliminated because of animal source concerns. It's still a nice perfume, but nothing like in the good old days.

You sharing your first hand experience with the original formulation relative to the newer without knocking it is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! You rock!!!!. Now I wish I would have smelled the original. May I please ask? Do you know of any present fragrances that remind you of the original?

@@marcialsblendsfragrance2972 Chanel №5 is quite wearable,smells a bit like other civet fragrances like Kouros or Givenchi Gentleman,but softer. I had a Shalimar bottle some 3 years ago but sold it-the civet was quite strong and i did not like it. Unfortunately the Air du Temps was my least favorite-very sharp and retro smell-i gave my bottle to a mature female.

I wore this in my 20's to my early 30's. Just picked up a bottle 30 years later. I am really enjoying it. I have trouble identifying the notes, I don't find it sweet, which is great cause I don't like sweet fragrances. My recollection is it lasted much longer on me back then, than it does today.

YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!! Thank you so much for sharing your experience with the original and the reformulation. I can totally imagine that it wouldn't last as long. So many fragrance materials are mo longer permitted to be used that were solid fasteners to the skin. They'd make it laaaaaaaaaast. I'm happy you like the smell. I dig it. Hey Marcial, what's up I just found this video 2 years later hehehe, I have been doing some research on L'Air Du Temps by Nina Ricci, this was one of my mom favorites, she is not anymore with us however I still have a partial bottle she left and oh boy this stuff brings back a lot of good memories, my only question for you is if you have (or had) the EDT or de EDP concentration...good job mi amigo!
