re: your comment: "I don't think people realise how much of a musical genius Stromae actually is." really?? what people, *exactly,*are you referring to who are so clueless?? you mean those of us who are new to this person's musical works? re: *the* phenomenal demonstration of this person's "musical genius?" only YOU, from within the many of us but who are only NEW to this brilliance?? only YOU realize, how amazing it all is, of course??🙄because if not, WHO, *exactly* are you meaning? really, why are YOU such a snob? because this lovely, genius of an individual would so very much APPRECIATE how you just went after so many of his appreciative *new fans?* who for the very first time [may the universe forgive us] learned about this human being on this tv late night talk show? because that's what the gorgeous person this guy is would like? you pulling such rank? snobby-already-fans like YOU pre-loading the alienating of those of us who are brand NEW to these musical works..and who absolutely ADORE all of this in our most innocent, new-time experiencing of this greatness? WHAT are you saying with your comment about others vs. simply making use of your option to compliment the musical guest. just smdh re: all @ KZbin who constantly pull such cr@p..all like *you* who in, such a back-handed-wannabe-complimentary way towards the talented one, lay claim to the reality of such musical & lyrical brilliance..& only because you learned about him some days, months or *years* before *we* newbies did..please, just *stop.* 😐 #bad #snob #youtube #habitual #backhanded #insulters

I highly recommend to everyone to listen to the whole album. The lyrics are great, luckily many songs are on KZbin with translation. Many songs reflect on different aspects of life and I guess many of us can relate to it. it feels like attending a therapy session, but due to the great music you end up dancing and singing while dealing with very serious topics, great masterpiece

L’enfer … the « Hell » The lyrics are wonderful. We live here on Earth… loosing the connection with others and even loosing the connection with ourselves…. Listening to the lies on the television and feeling guilty about everything…. Believing we are responsible for everything…Loosing the connection with ourselves. This is a form of Hell on Earth 🌍. May I pray to all of you who read this that we may not continue down this path anymore to Hell…. May we re-connect to our authentic selves, stop feeling guilty about everything and start to accept ourselves, forgive ourselves, love ❤ ourselves and then try and love one another.

Lyrics in engllish [Verse 1] I'm not alone in feeling all alone And that's already something less in my head And if I counted all the people like me We'd be many Everything I've been thinking about It's crazy how many people have thought just the same But even that doesn't help me feeling less alone Actually [Chorus] I've considered suicide a few times And I'm not proud of it Sometimes you feel it'd be the only way to silence them All thesе thoughts putting me through hell All thesе thoughts putting me through hell [Verse 2] Am I the only one with the TV on Watching the Guilt Trip Show? Well you should change channels sometimes Although not too often Otherwise it will send your head spinning again And it'll be too late to stop it That's precisely when I'd like to make it all disappear Actually [Chorus] I've considered suicide a few times And I'm not proud of it Sometimes you feel it'd be the only way to silence them All these thoughts putting me through hell All these thoughts putting me through hell [Verse 3] You know, I've pondered the issue And I really don't know what to do with you Considering the issue That's exactly what the issue is with you You know, I've pondered the issue I really don't to know what to do with you Considering the issue That's exactly what the issue is with you

I had never heard of him until I saw him on your show last time. My take on it was that he is battling himself on someone, and realizing the problem is with them, not him. The glitches are him becoming more empowered... can someone tell me if I nailed it, or am I far off? I am going to google it tho.*edit* so I wasn't far off... battling his own demons. Which makes this more powerful. The mind creates its own hell. just wow. absofuckinglutely brilliant.

Not sure if anyone already posted English lyrics, but for anyone wondering: J'suis pas tout seul à être tout seul - I’m not the only one who feels alone Ça fait d'jà ça d'moins dans la tête - Just knowing that already takes some weight off my mind Et si j'comptais, combien on est - And if I counted how many people feel like this… Beaucoup - a lot Tout ce à quoi j'ai d'jà pensé - All the thoughts I’ve been having Dire que plein d'autres y ont d'jà pensé - So many others have already had Mais malgré tout je m'sens tout seul - But despite everything I feel alone Du coup - (So) J'ai parfois eu des pensées suicidaires - I’ve sometimes had suicidal thoughts Et j'en suis peu fier - And I’m not proud of it On croit parfois que c'est la seule manière de les faire taire - Sometimes it feels like that’s the only way to make them [these thoughts] be quiet, Ces pensées qui nous font vivre un enfer (x2) - These thoughts that make life a living hell Est-c'qu'y a que moi qui ai la télé - Is it just me that’s got the TV Et la chaîne culpabilité? - On the guilt channel? Mais faut bien s'changer les idées - But you should take your mind off things/change the channel sometimes Pas trop quand même - But not too much Sinon ça r'part vite dans la tête - Otherwise it all starts again in your head Et c'est trop tard pour qu'ça s'arrête - And it’s too late to stop it C'est là qu'j'aimerais tout oublier - [at this point/at these times] this is when I just want to forget everything Du coup - (So) J'ai parfois eu des pensées suicidaires - I’ve sometimes had suicidal thoughts Et j'en suis peu fier - And I’m not proud of it On croit parfois que c'est la seule manière de les faire taire - Sometimes it feels like that’s the only way to make them [these thoughts] be quiet, Ces pensées qui nous font vivre un enfer (x2) - These thoughts that make life a living hell Tu sais j'ai mûrement réfléchi - You know I’ve given it a lot of thought Et je sais vraiment pas quoi faire de toi - And I really don’t know what to do with you [these thoughts, depression] Justement, réfléchir - That’s exactly it though - thinking too much, C'est bien l'problème avec toi - That’s the problem [here toi =you, referring both to the “problem with himself” and the problem with these thoughts] Repeat “tu sais j’ai….” This is a very loose translation, not a direct one, but I’ve tried to keep the sense of the original. Sadly a lot is lost in translation as Stromae has an incredible gift for subtlety and nuance in his lyrics. I love his music and I’m so happy he’s back - even more so that he seems so much more confident, and happier within himself. I hope he continues to enjoy sharing his music and art with us!

Uma coisa legal que eu acho do Stromae é que ele sempre interpreta a letra da canção. Sempre veste o personagem. Por exemplo.. se ele estivesse agora cantando FORMIDABLE … estaria imitando um bebado. Ahahh TOP!!!!!
