ആ ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ, അത്യാവശ്യ കാര്യത്തിന് യാത്ര ചെയ്യേണ്ടി വന്ന ഒരു വ്യക്തിയെ പോലും (പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് അയൽ ജില്ലയിൽ നിന്ന് ചികിത്സയ്ക്കായി മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജിൽ എത്താൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന ഒരാൾ) യാത്ര ചെയ്യാൻ അനുവദിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല, പോലീസ് സേന ആ രോഗികളെ വീടുകളിലേക്ക് തിരിച്ചയക്കുന്ന ടിവി വാർത്തകൾ നാം കണ്ടിരുന്നു. ജില്ലാ അതിര്ത്തികളിലടക്കം എല്ലാ വാഹനങ്ങളും കേരള പോലീസ് കർശനമായി തടയുകയായിരുന്നു. അപൂർവമായി ലഭ്യമായ ചില മരുന്നുകൾ വാങ്ങാൻ നെടുമങ്ങാട് നിന്ന് സ്റ്റാച്യു ജംഗ്ഷനിലേക്ക് (തിരുവനന്തപുരം സെക്രട്ടേറിയറ്റിന് എതിർവശം) ഒരാൾക്ക് യാത്ര ചെയ്യേണ്ടി വന്നതായി എന്നോട് പറഞ്ഞു (ചില മരുന്നുകൾ എല്ലാ കടകളിലും ലഭ്യമല്ലായിരുന്നു എന്നുള്ളത് കൊണ്ട്). ഈ വ്യക്തിക്ക് എല്ലാ രേഖകളും (ഡോക്ടറുടെ കുറിപ്പടി, മെഡിക്കൽ ഷോപ്പിന്റെ പേര്, മെഡിക്കൽ ഷോപ്പിന്റെ ഫോൺ നമ്പർ മുതലായവ) കുറഞ്ഞത് 10 ലധികം സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ (ഏകദേശം 17 കിലോമീറ്റർ ദൂരത്തിൽ) പോലീസുകാർക്ക് കാണിക്കേണ്ടിവന്നു. ഇത്തരം യാത്രാ നിയന്ത്രണങ്ങൾ നിലവിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന സമയത്തു സംസ്ഥാന അതിർത്തി കടക്കാൻ ഒരു വാഹനത്തെ അനുവദിക്കുകയും, പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് വാളയാറിനടുത്തുള്ള ടോൾ പ്ലാസയിലെ സി.സി.ടി.വി കാമറ ഏതാനും മിനിറ്റുകൾ മാത്രം "പ്രവർത്തനരഹിതമായി" മാറിയപ്പോൾ, ഇത് ഗൗരവമായി പരിശോധിക്കേണ്ട ഗുരുതരമായ കേസാണ്. ശ്രീ ഷാജൻ, ദയവായി ഈ വിഷയത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് ഒരു പ്രത്യേക വീഡിയോ ചെയ്യണം എന്നപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു. താങ്കളെ കൊണ്ട് മാത്രമേ അതിനു സാധിക്കുകയുള്ളു. മറുനാടൻ അല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊരു മാധ്യമവും അത് ചെയ്യില്ല എന്നുറപ്പുണ്ട്.

Those days, for a genuine person (especially someone wants to reach Medical college from a neighboring district for treatment) was not even allowed, we had seen TV news in which police force was sending back those patients to their respective homes (not allowing them to reach a medical college). Kerala Police was stopping all vehicles strictly, including at district borders. I was told that a person had to travel from Nedumangad to statue junction (opp. to Thiruvananthapuram Secretariat) for purchasing certain rarely available medicines (some medicines were not available at every shop). This person had to show all documents (doctor's prescription, self-written undertaking, name of the medical shop, phone number of medical shop, etc.) to policemen atleast more than 10 places (in a distance of around 17 KM travel). When such kind of travel restrictions were in force and if a vehicle can be allowed to cross state border, particularly the CCTV camera of the toll plaza near Walayar became "non-functional" only for few minutes, this is serious case to be looked into. Mr Shajan, kindly do a separate video on this topic alone.... thanks
