I have been stuck at my home in Kerala for the last 3 months due to lock down. came across a custard apple tree, which is not making any fruit even though it flowers a lot. did some research on it and understood the lack of cross pollination in this tree and did a manual pollination to convert these flowers to fruits. and this was way successful, from just 2 fruit last year to about 30-40 fruits this year!!. this is a short video on how I did it.. my lock down story.
ലോക്ക് ഡൌൺ കാരണം കഴിഞ്ഞ 3 മാസമായി ഞാൻ കേരളത്തിലെ എന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ കുടുങ്ങി. വീട്ടിലെ ഒരു കസ്റ്റാർഡ് ആപ്പിൾ മരം എന്റെ ശ്രദ്ധയിൽ പെട്ടു , അതിൽ ധാരാളം പൂക്കൾ ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും ഫലം കായ്ക്കുന്നില്ല. അതിനെക്കുറിച്ച് കുറച്ച് ഗവേഷണം നടത്തുകയും ഈ വൃക്ഷത്തിൽ ക്രോസ് പരാഗണത്തിന്റെ അഭാവം മനസ്സിലാക്കുകയും ഈ പൂക്കളെ പഴങ്ങളാക്കി മാറ്റാൻ ഒരു മാനുവൽ പരാഗണം നടത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു. കഴിഞ്ഞ വർഷം വെറും 2 പഴങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് ഈ വർഷം 30-40 പഴങ്ങൾ വരെ ഇത് വിജയകരമായിരുന്നു !!. ഇത് ഞാൻ എങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു എന്നതിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ഒരു ഹ്രസ്വ വീഡിയോയാണ് .. എന്റെ ലോക്ക് ഡൌൺ സ്റ്റോറി.

എന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ഉള്ളത് പഴത്തിനെ പച്ച കളർ മാറി അതിന്റെ വെള്ള വര നന്നായി കാണുന്ന സമയത്ത് പറിച്ചു വെച്ച് നാല് ദിവസത്തിനുള്ളിൽ പഴുക്കും....
