L.L. Bean Boots are a DEAL

For sizing reference I normally wear a size 11 1/2 in other boot brands. In these L.L. Bean Boots I had to order a size 10. The size 10 still has room in them to move around even with thick socks. They don't come in half sizes so your best bet would be to call L.L. Bean and ask them what size you should get.

Great, honest video review! I watched a review by two posers yesterday and when it came time to discuss the LL Bean Boot all they could say was (and I kid you not....) "I can't stand the way they look!" I mean seriously! Who cares what your opinion of their aesthetics is versus how they perform?! I have a pair of uninsulated 12" LL Bean Maine Hunting Boots (having worn a pair of 16" units years ago when I first got into waterfowl hunting many years ago) and swear by them. When it comes down to more mundane winter tasks like plowing the driveway or going to the store I reach for my Sorel Caribous but if I'm heading into the woods there is no other logical choice other than the LL Bean Maine Hunting Boot!

I've had my Bean Boots for about 7-8 years now and absolutely love them. I got the Thinsulate insulation and my feet stay warm and dry. They're also extremely comfortable for walking. My only initial issue was with their sizing, which can be confusing and sketchy. Had to send the first pair back for a different size. Other than that, great boots!

There’s just something masculine about the ll beans I’ve got 3 pair 2 that I change with work, & 1 that I wear casually, I’ll be passing them down to my sons! The story behind the boots says everything about a man, really creative to keep the history in the leather, & keep the sole! I love my boots!

I use Hunter brand rubber boot shine on the bottoms. I'm a sucker for a good shine.

I have a bottle of it but can't find it on their site for sale. They do list 303 Rubber Seal Conditioner as well as mention olive oil and Vaseline. on their care page. ArmourAll is my general rubber polish unless I have something provided by the boot company. LL Bean likely have their own care section. @@dominicscalise

I had mine for almost for a year. I had a version with tumbled shearling leather. Idk if this version is still available. It is great. I do have to replace the laces however because it was peeling.

I’m a Croatian guy, living in Germany. Today I got my first pair and I’m love it. Only the build quality is not that nice, where the upper meets the rubber it isn’t glued and sewn even, with some overlap. But ok, it’s a beater boot for walking the dog in the woods and the mud. Sadly the resole option is not interesting outside the USA, because shipping is too high 😕

The materials are great, but I agree - the attention to detail won’t be like it is on a pair of Alden boots and the like. The Bean Boots will be trusty though. Cheers!

Actually, it is glued. They glue it first and then triple stitch it for extra strength. And I bet the glue helps with keeping water out too.

They run large. I encourage you to check out forums to get a good gauge based on your shoe size.

They are definitely sized big. I wear a 10 1/2..Ordered a 10. They’re still a 1/2 size big. Order a whole size down from your regular size..Great boots though!
