Hi Michael, I came across your comments on Miami Showband videos which I watch a lot. Was surprised to find that you traveled Germany where I happen to live. Lüneburg is such a lovely city, I have been there several times. I like your video together with the music - when did you film this? I have never seen the streets of Lüneburg that empty, must have been early in the morning I guess.

I filmed it in early June. I spent a full day there. Beautiful spot & people so friendly. How did you get into the Miami Showband...I've met Dickie a few times at an entertainment venue just beside where i live...I used to love all the old showbands...The Capitol, Joe Dolan & The Drifters, etc..etc. At one time in Ireland there were over 700 bands playing the circuit. Then the disco's arrived with alcohol available, which wasn't available in the dance halls. The showband scene just died a slow death...
