This has got to be the funnest type of character to play in a movie. Gary Oldman made a career playing these archtypes.

Even though he's a psychopath, you get the feeling that he is pissed that the kids weren't at school even if just so he wouldn't have to answer tough questions afterwards.
@Legba853 жыл бұрын
I think he’s the kind of criminal that doesn’t like collateral damage with kids. Adults are one thing, children must be his line.
@ciaranoconnell47833 жыл бұрын
@@Legba85 Disagree. He has no problem with shooting children as shown by him killing the little boy. The issue is afterwards when he belatedly realises that when his psycho rage is over, he has to deal with tough questions which puts his bullshit under scrutiny. So he just wants them out of the way when he goes batshit crazy, not because he has a conscience, but because he cannot control himself when in his rage mode and play it smart, i.e., attack who he wants to kill alone, etc.. So ultimately, he's pissed that kids are in the way of his rampages which he cannot control meaning that his actions afterwards are closely looked at and he doesn't want that. It's not that cares or has any hesitation in murdering children, it's just more of a case of being a wild animal, an apex predator, who cannot, will not, change his nature but that leaves him vulnerable afterwards when he has to re-join civilisation when the carnage is over. Civilisation means scrutiny & questions and then judgement, even taken down legally, i.e., prison, if he cannot dance his way out of the questions.
