L'Oreal True Match First Impressions

Today's video is a First Impressions / Review on the L'Oreal True Match foundation. As the packaging has been updated so has the foundation so I thought I would take it on a road test!
Overall I really love this foundation - it feels so nice and light on the skin and the colour match is perfect! It doesn't wear the best for only skin but if you have something that you don't need it to last 10+ hours it would be perfect :)

I have been using the L'Oreal True Match for YEAAAAARS before the changed the formula. It's safe to say I preferred the old formula, it lasted so much longer on my skin - it was my holy grail but I'm not so keen anymore! Used to use it all the time on my KZbin channel / blog but the Too Faced "born this way" is taking over. I've also been loving L'Oreal Infallible Matte; although the shades are terrible...the lightest is too pink and the next is a weird tone/shade too so I have to mix. Definitely on the hunt for a holy grail again :'( x Great video absolutely love your vids Crystal you're so cute and gorgeous ♥

yes someone else noticed the sparkles in there! I have very pale skin and when I used to wear it I would just be completely gold sparkles in the mirror! (lightest shade W1) not good for someone with pink/neutral undertones.

"True match" is really true match! I have used this for almost a decade, I have tried more high end products and True match is always my go-to foundation for everyday and special occasion. It's easily blendable and is never cakey.

I have very dry skin and the old formula even wore off quite quickly for me, I always had to mix it with something else if I wanted it to last. So it would be interesting to see how the new one goes! Thanks for sharing.

Love the review.. and your eye make up!! I have exactly the same skin type as you- oily through the T zone and especially around the nose. It's hard to maintain coverage in those areas hey- I'm definitely someone who needs to touch up several times a day. Love your channel! X

I love true match, I think I prefer it being more fluid over the old formula, I find it blends like an absolute dream on my skin, I have big ol pores & it doesn't sink into them it does minimise their appearance, I've tried a fair few "drugstore" brands this is by far the best for me.

I'm eager to try out this new formula! I just bought it in w5 cos w4 is a tad too light for me in summer. I noticed the gold shimmery swirls too!!! How odd that they're there! I hope it works out better than the old.formula cos I found that didn't last on me very long. W4 is such a beautiful shade too. When I wasn't as dark.this colour was the PERFECT match me. Just the right amount of yellow and not too yellow like Nars Stromboli. Great video as always. :)

Really enjoyed this! I picked the foundation up last week and I was a die hard fan of the old formula my holy grail and I was soo disappointed by the new one. I find it really clings to my dry patches on my skin and does not wear anywhere near as well as it did. oh odd that both opinions are so different 😂😂 I'm guessing it's because I have terribly dry skin and it's winter currently in the UK- foundation never lasts as long in the cold I find. anyway thought I'd share my thoughts really enjoyed the video crystal keep up the good work! xoox

Same thing with neutral shade, turned orange within an hour. I hate the sparkly flakes which make my fingers glow. This was just a great no-no for me. Nice video again, though, Crystal.

i love this true match foundation so much becoz it gave me a semi matte finish since i got terribly oily skin n i really need this. but mine is old formula n work nicely on my face. i'm going to try the new one but its worrying me as i dont know if the quality as good as old one because i really love the old formula. i thought they only changed the packaging but apparently the formula also.

gaaaad I hate this one.. im a foundation person and I love foundation (I've tried aaalooot of different foundation).. this one was a total failure! the colour was somewhat right, but it stuck to every tiny little hair on my face, and on my nose and cheek you could see tiny "holes" where my pores are. after a short time it was very creasy and "muddy" on my nose and chin area and my face felt somewhat stiff. and it was also hard to wash of, it just moved around on the skin.. just horrible! :(

Dana Hayes I have oily skin and so does my mum and in all honesty it's so friken good :) I'd recommend it but I do believe if your as oily as me after 4ish hours you might have to blot in your t zone. hope this helps. If your looking for a foundation for oily skin Id defiantly recommend estee lauder it is, I promise the holy grail for oily people :)

I live in sweden n seriously it must be a racist country (ironically they are the ones with taking in lot of immigrants) cuz most brands from loreal to clinique might have say 13 shades to choose from but in here they only buy in 6 shades n they all are light to medium colours :( its not a big problem for me but my sister is darker and have hard time to find a shade that suits her. . except for mac n smashbox all other shades are only bought in less than 6 shades. . hopefully their "darkest" colour fit her tone

It'a not about racism. I used to buy the lightest shade of true match in Norway, but in Germany they start from shades that are 2-4 shades darker in every product, so I really can't buy any type of foundation/concealer here... I guess we'll just have too call ourself too unique for the countries we live in :P

GunnAlice Thorsen. The same happens with me and it sucks, but it's the only foundation that I've ever found that doesn't oxidize on my skin so I have to use it.
