Sir, I'm a student of MA(History) in Hansraj College (DU) and also I'm preparing for upsc.With due respect सर गुर्जर प्रतिहार के बारे में तो ये पढ़ा है कि ये गुर्जर थे इसलिए इनके प्रदेश को गुर्जर प्रतिहार कहा जाता था और पहले इनका शासन आया बाद में गुजरात का नाम इनके वंश के आधार पर रखा गया;गुर्जर एक स्थानवाचक नहीं, ट्राइब या जाति वाचक शब्द है। बाद में गुर्जर प्रतिहार को क्षत्रिय कहलवाने के लिए माउंट आबू यज्ञ के कॉन्सेप्ट को लाया गया।

It has been taught that Nalanda was destroyed by bakhtiyar khilji, which is true But also during this time, Shashank of gaur also attacked and destroyed nalanda during his time. Before that pushyamitra a brahmin after decline of mauryas. We can see various instances of intolerance before medieval period. 4:47

with due respect, I have to state that what you said about Assam being conquered by Bengal and not the other way around, is incorrect. The ancient kingdom of pragjyotishpur (land of eastern astrology) existed during the times of Mahabharata. The medieval kingdom of Kamrup was ruled by Danava and Asura dynasty. Bhaskar varman(594-650 AD) of the varman dynasty had established alliance with Harsavardhan. Bhaskar invaded Sasanka's kingdom from the east and Harsha from the west. Sasanka fled to odisha. Bhaskar was treated by harsha as an ally. When Hiuen Thang visited kamrup, he praised the land and the king. In fact, when he left for China, he was offered presents from Harsha, which he refused to accept but he only accepted a cap from Bhaskar. During the Turkish invasion of 12th century, when whole of north India was conquered, kingdom of Kamrup could not be won over despite 3 attempts We may not be in history textbooks, but that doesn't mean that we don't have any history at all.

What I said was that kingdoms of Assam hardly ever ruled over /expanded to Bengal. During this time, they did. Which is an exceptional event. Did I say that Assam has no history at all? Don't conjure things out of thin air. Sometimes people HEAR what they think other MIGHT say.

@@mahipalrathore1 Three points_ 1) what you said on 5:10 that kings of Bengal ruled over Assam is not true. Kamrup was never conquered by Bengal. And Bhaskar varman, in alliance with Harsha, invaded Bengal during Sasanka's rule and not after his death. After the victory, he issued the Nidanpur copper plate. 2) what you said on 10:26 about pragjyotishpur being conquered by Pala dynasty during 810-850 AD is also not true. Salastambha dynasty ruled over Kamrup during that time( 650-990 AD). from 990AD, Pala dynasty ruled kamrup, which is different from the Pala dynasty of Bengal. 3) I am not accusing that you said Assam has no history. What I made was a general statement, not targeting anyone in particular. What I meant was that history of NE is not represented in NCERT textbooks, which leads to factual errors being made by people. However, I agree that I shouldn't have made the last statement regarding Assam having no history or should have clarified that it was a generalized statement not targeting anyone in particular.
