Some trivia. Mathew Bellamy's father was in the first British band to a have a number one hit in the United States. The band was called the Tornados and the song was a instrumental called Telstar. Named after the first satellite.

Absolutely amazing band live and a treasure trove of brilliant tracks. This is quite early in their career playing a secondary festival stage but they quickly became one of the biggest stadium and festival bands on the planet and there are good reasons why! try’ Plug in Baby’ Live from the Olympic stadium Rome for peak Muse Live………trust me.

Just checked out your reaction to 'New Born'👏I have seen Muse in concert 4 times and they are f*cking UNBELIEVABLE!!!🔥 Their songs are mainly about a range of things, but a LOT are about being controlled by the governments, secrecy, dumbing down and control of the masses. If you haven't heard Muse live, you really haven't heard Muse. They're good on the albums... live? They are up there with Pink Floyd and Rush for power performances (and U2 for live production levels). I've seen them twice now, and they were mind-bogglingly good. The video you've reacted to here is them in the early days, which has it's own sort of great energy. But since then they've become absolutely epic. As Rolling Stone once put it they have "stadium crushing anthems." My favorite clip from them is probably Butterflies and Hurricanes from the 2007 Wembly show. When that stadium was built, they were slated to be the first band to play it, but George Michael slipped in just a day before them. He sent Muse a note taunting them about being first. After their shows, they sent another back about how they'd been the first band to SELL OUT Wembley... two nights in a row.

Muse, like Rush (see Hugh Syme), often has a hidden fourth member, playing background keyboard parts. That member has changed a couple of times over the years.

Lee, next to Rush and Led Zeppelin, Muse is the freaking Rabbit Hole!! OMG, they are SO AWESOME! Check out their song called "Butterflies and Hurricanes", LIVE from Wembley Stadium, 2007 (from the HAARP live DVD/CD)!! You will be blown away! They have TONS of great songs! Go, man! Get into MUSE!!

live they have a 4th guy/person helping them with the things they cant do themselves, but they're a 3 piece band. They were a completely different band in the start. Live, pre 2009 I would say that the performances are more musically centric and since 2010 ish it has been more about the stage show. So if you're sticking with live, then keep that in mind. Seen them live and omg they're amazing

Been hearing about Muse for many years, and I have some friends who are mega-fans of theirs, but every time I try to get into them, I can't quite make the connection.
