I'm curious why you didn't mention Karna's damage. Sure his kit is wonky and annoying to use with that 25% battery, but he hits like a god damn truck boosted by rockets, even more so if fighting divine enemies(which a huge number of archers are). Not worth whaling for, but at least enough to warrant mentioning imo, especially since Eresh and Lartoria both suffer from weak damage. Similarly I would list Scherazade like that as well. Yes she has a 10% damage penalty, and an attack stat lower than most 4 stars, but that is exactly the thing here. Her damage is pathetically low, so why is her NP the 10th most powerful AOE NP in the game? 100% damage mod baby. Its niche as hell since kings are so rare, but she has 5K less attack than Gilgamesh, and yet deals more damage than him, without any skill damage buffs. She is like Nobunaga or Siegfriede, weak outside of her niche, but busted within it. I do also find it hilarious that Osakabehime is particularly good at soloing, better than being a team support. She likes being by herself so much that she actually gets better when she is alone.

Problem is that, it's easier to get nobunagas or Siegfried's niche. Hell, you can use George to put the dragon trait on anyone. Scheharzade niche is too small and there are riders in that king niche, where you would rather use aoe assassin. Also, ideally you want to use her against male kings, which is how many?

I think that's the problem with servants that have a certain niche. I mean yeah, they do perform outstandingly well when faced with opponents they can counter, but that's about it with them. They're completely situational. As someone who doesn't whale, i think that's a pretty big issue. When you don't whale or don't want to whale, you'd want servants you could use all the time, a servant you can put in any party. Servants with a niche kind of ruin that for you. I mean, she's a 5*. And as someone who doesn't whale, you'd want to brandish that 5*. But how could you when she underperforms in everything else you put her in. Its just kind of a kill joy in my opinion (This is just an opinion, no need to get heated)

I actually find abbys mismatched deck works really well for her. Bit of a whale team but if you get her merlin and tamamo rolling she can easily dish out back to back to back nps. Merlin buffs the NP and provides the stars, Tammy buffs the face cards and lowers abbys absurd cooldowns. Abby brings the adorable, adorable pain. I feel like it works a lot better for her, than Emiya since shes single target.

I'll never understand the whale mentality of "This meta is dying so I better switch to this other one". Like, yeah, Castoria *is* better than Skadi for 3T (and on my case, I prefer arts over quick) but if I have Lancelot, Skadi and the Mage asociation mystic, there's literally no need for me to spend money on a whole different meta unless I just want to waste on quartz. Like, Buster is not dead (Merlin is still the best caster) and quick will always be effective.

For me, mostly of the viability comes at the expenses of using it. Most of the time you see the Quick meta running on NP5 Dantes of Zerkerlot with MLB Kscopes for the 50% refunds while the Arts meta is more casual. I normally loop my farms with a Space Ishtar NP1 with MLB Painting Summer.

To be fair Altera's S1 buff made her more CQ oriented than the other 2 aoe sabers in the general pool. Sure she might not be able to have things the other 2 have but her ability to remove defensive buffs is a life save. Also her heal from her S2 which is equivalent to the heal from the og mystic code is good to have and give you the opportunity to either heal Altera back to full health or give some help to some other unit without worrying about Altera that much

Personally I just want king protea and Kama next year. Depending on the situation I might just go for king protea because she comes first but also because I just want her more. She’s not meta but the servant is a lot of what I wanted. She’s so big in the act mission that it feels like a meme and this reminds me of the old days of online coop in mass effect 3. I would run the Beth juggernaut, equipped a shotgun with a melee mod and just face tank large enemies because he has a unique perk that makes it so that you can’t get killed by enemy finishers. The banshees were the real slender man back then. They would teleport towards you and if you tried to melee them they will grab you and you instantly die. King protea has a gimmick of increasing his hp permanently until the buff is removed and while this isn’t a true tank ability it just reminds of the Beth juggernaut because his melee was a lock drain the recharged your own shield when hitting an enemy. Kama is just nice because I heard that she was a 5 star quick assassin nuker. I currently my only 5 star assassin is Osakabehime, she’s fine right now and if I need to nuke a rider then I have 2 single target NP alter egos so I’m not in desperate need of her but it would definitely be nice to fill in that role. I heard space Ishtar is pretty good but I’ll need to look into her more before I make the choice.

Imho, using okkie has been one of the most fun i ever had, well loving her in the first place helps, but there is just something about her that screams "man she's so amusing". Granted people shouldn't whale for her, but i wouldn't necessary call skadi/merlin/castoria gameplay as fun either. And obviously to each his own. I really love them and want to pull them so badly, but her kit just doesn't justify it for me. Especially because I'm a f2p (besides GSSR) and Nobu is sandwiched between two other SSRs I desperately want in 2021; Bride Nero and Summer Musashi, not to mention how I want Asclepius. Karna came when I was rolling for Summer Nero, Altera came when I was rolling for Musashi, LAlter came when I was rolling for Sanzang, Abby was in my GSSR this mid year. I used her on Summer 3 challenge, Gilfest Leonidas challenge and the Altera christmas challenge, all three with the exact same team (exept some minor CE ajustments) and she manage to be really good.

For me, it's King Hassan's. By FAR my favorite servant, aesthetically. But he has a weird skill set and deck for an assassin, which I wouldn't mind if it wasn't for the fact the I have too many good buster servants to choose from already. Not to mention I already have Shuten and Shiki as my dedicated assassin's. If I do get him, he'll just be the babysitter and grandpa for my Bunyan.

As a jank Osakabehime user and even more so, a Mash Ortinax/Ortenaus main, I work Osakabe as the healing and damage buffer component of a Defence stacking team featuring Mash Ortinax and Asterios. It's ridiculously jank as you'd expect from the utter mismatch of decks and skills. It's held together through sheer duct-tape of defence buffs and Asterios's NP as well as defensive NP gain. But ngl it feels very satisfying to hit 50-60k Bunker Bolt crits as well as survive NPs on what is considered "soft" defence. In less jank scenarios aka OG Mash, it's much more manageable and fun. Your DPS can be anyone that provides 20-30% defence up or attack down to survive NPs. From Gareth to Lobo, Osakabe's Buster buff and Crit buff aren't wasted. But this kind of gameplay is understandably far from the norm and intuitive thinking so c'est la vie. Edit: As for my NP1 bebe Abby, I use her as the NP denial DPS with Tamamo and soon Lanling. Very synergistic with the exception of the Buster NP but considering my NP1 and neutral damage, I better focus on spamming it with all the Arts buffs and crits. CEs can sort of help the NP damage at least. But yeah her gameplay problems are very infuriating and a shame her first buff is a measely 30% NP battery, not even higher numbers on the NP buff or charge, not even lower cooldown numbers.

Yeah Osakabehime definitely got the bad end of them overbalancing her. Especially after the Summer 2 Bull they needed to have some sort of not Super Caster support and they just didn't give her quite enough tools to really do that at the start. They even made her buff purge skill weaker then it should be since the defense drop is before the purge so it might miss against a flood of debuff resist up or immunity alongside that it's for one turn. I think it was your Shinjuku Servant Reviews or something during EoR that you said they were trying to overbalance Servants which gave them just OK kits with how busted Merlin was and I think that's 100% not only Okki's issue but Shahrazad's as well.

That's pretty much all I need to be completed in my account. After that I'm set Only servant I wanted high np and got not so hard was summer 3. @@kierafurneaux3172 that's a lie told over 100 times. Let me make it clear and I'm someone who is always chill about scheduling especially when na thinks they will miss stuff. FGO JP HAD PROBLEMS BEFORE THE PANDEMIC. case and point. Back in October last year Saber wars 2 no welfare and Christmas 4 having no rerun was before anything went crazy and then the schedule was only affected by the first two months as confirmed by dw themselves and they said after that they were back on schedule. Also this has been going on for a while year now exactly and no amount of excuses can make up for a whole year of a bad schedule. But yeah please don't come with that lie reddit told to try to justify a bad schedule dw did to themselves and especially over the year with almost no welfares. Months long quiet time and overall slowing down the schedule as they are spreading out the story especially seeing na get 1 through 3 lb in 1 year then next year 1.5 and now .5 next year. So yeah the pandemic is not the problem. It's dw and thier sales prove It. Sorry I went off but that's the biggest lie told as it only affected them for a month to get everything done at home. Plus dw is years ahead in planning already and only affected live shows

They don't want to lose nasu who saved fgo especially with Camelot and Babylon being the only good stories in part 1 people liked Also lb 5 was only halfway through the lb story so that's another thing plus they just did an event that is BEFORE lostbelt 5 than after like labryinth and such. Plus money wise that's not a good excuse either as other games have risen in sales while dw dropped for a terrible release year. Anyone would spend less money with less new events or interesting characters which is just logic in general as summer 5 guda and even this event on jp are basic and nothing interesting to bring plus the cash cow castoria was not very money good as they gave a ton of free quarts so she was basically free not that I'm complaining in 2 in years. But yeah I hope they learn that this year was a failure and perform better next year to you thier game by giving more story events and a better schedule like the years before 2020.

Karna spooked me TWICE when rolling hard during Summer 3 for Jarcher, so now he's NP3. Dude is an absolute monster, I genuinely believe he's the best AoE lancer overall in the game, at least until Romulus-Quirinus is a thing. We still have time before that in NA. Sure, he lacks the charge of Tituria or Eresh as Fino points out, but he is far more viable in challenge quest destruction, especially at NP3, trust me!

Artoria lancer deals small amounts of damage with her np wich is fair because her niche is her spamabilty and her ignore invincible, ereshkigal is one of the jankiest supports out there, she relies on having her np and an abilty to do her job, she has that aoe dmg but a crit from van gohg does more to archers than a hit from eresh np, karna can do more damg with his np than even some st nps, sure he doesn't have a good battery, but there are so many supports to enable him that that doesn't really matter, thinking a servant is bad because of a lack of battery is a weak mindset

Karna is far better than Lartoria on anything outside of farming really, and even on farming Eresh beats her up because she can offer more damage to the secondary dps. Karna is a very good AoE attacker that can work really well to slaughter bosses with sustained NP spam damage and crits

Since I don't Merlin, I really don't have that much use Buster servants more than Arts and Quick Teams so I really have servants on this list that is available in FGO NA (No Summer Abby and Saber Astolfo) but the servants I do regularly use are Scheherazade (NP5 through spooks from the class summoning when rolling for other casters) and Osakabehime as a plug suit support using her NP when using some Quick Teams.

Ones I love but wouldn't roll for as I'm low on quarts. Ishtar archer. Sitonai. Illya caster. Merlin. Shiki. summer Nero. Illya summer da vinchi rider. Saber archer and demiya I either love thier character design or can't find a reason to roll for them myself in a way.

I agree with all of this, but I gotta say as someone who's loved by Scathath but hated by skadi, every banner still no skadi, getting hime a few months ago as a spook has basically been the poor man's version of double skadi system since I'm lucky to have such a wonderful friend who has a MLB kscope skadi I can use with hime to generate 80% quick buff on my Kama for those massive dps but sadly now with castoria looks like this is the end for hime she can stay home and be adorable.

Osakabehime for me is one of those servants where I was like she's cool but brings no value to my account so I never rolled for her. Then I got Spooked by her when I was rolling for Summer B.B. So I was ok I might use her some day and leveled her to max level and since her skill requirements weren't bad I decided to max her skills because why not. She's my only level 90 max skilled servant who has never gone into battle and her Bond level sits at zero. Nowadays I joke that she just hides in her room at Chaldea truly living up to her Legend.

Talking about Abigail's Qliphort Rhizome his me in a way that makes me want to watch her NP on video. I never had the chance to get my hands on Abi, but I love her to death. Also still have no foreigner.

Level 100, NP5 Artoria Lancer Alter... Went hard for her on the one event banner this year that had her as a rate up. And my love for Altera in Extella is what got me in to Fate stuff to begin with. Always kinda bummed out that she's just underwhelming at what she does on FGO.

9:11 personally i would have to disagree with you. i haven't NP5 my own Abby but by some miracle after getting my first Abby last year off of ticket power alone last week i managed to get a second Abby in a single 3 quartz summon.
