Yeah the craziest thing to me was that I never got addicted to vaping literally because I never had time at my job to take a break and hit the vape lol

Idk how the fuck it works like that. Same happens with my friends, that "at work" they don't smoke and only do it the morning and after work. I have never been like that, even at work I would have gone outside smoking a cig everytime I could, even if the schedule was tight. Or else, I would have stayed with the thought until I could light up one. Now I am on the 4th day nicotine free.

@@polocapolot1901 the cravings haven't fully gone away for me (its been 6 months) but they've gotten much easier. in my experience, it's more of a longing for a time when i could "do whatever i wanted". i always just try and do something else or leave the environment im in. I think it does just go away at some point (ive been told this from many people i know who are older than me and quit a long time ago) but in the meantime, just keep going. the cravings after around a week or two are sorta "fake cravings". like, they're more of just wanting to feel the buzz rather than being addicted. That helped me in staying off it.

@@noodlebrains2689 If you haven't tried yet, seriously consider trying nicotine gum if you want to quit. I know it's not the same thing due to different chemicals, but I vaped since 2016 and 2 years ago just committed to trying nicotine gum. I would hit my vape say half the time, chew gum half the time. I then chewed gum more and more and realized I wasn't even really hitting my vape so I just put it away. Long story short I just followed the box instructions and chewed a bunch of pieces a day, then that slowly became less and less and less until I realized I was really only having a piece or two a day because I felt like I had to based on the timeline they suggest. I then said lets see what happens and put it down, and I was just done for a solid at least 6 months. Ultimately just being around people vaping all the time got me back into using it, but 2 years later and I still haven't bought my own vape again. I think this is gonna be the time where I really try and just get back on the gum hard, and stick to it and get off in a few weeks. It's so damn hard and I get how you feel, but you CAN do it. Trust me. If you have health insurance, you can even ask a doctor to write you a script for nicotine gum saying you want to quit and your insurance may even FULLY COVER IT (they did in my case). It's a pain and so annoying that it is all just will power even using gum, but trust me you can do it if you want, and hearing what you said, it sounds like you do want better for yourself, and you can do that. I'm rooting for you bro you got it. (Sorry for the paragraph long yap fest but figured I'd at least give you some insight into what I did.)

The reason you feel weird with that motion of vaping is because your brain makes a connection between picking it up and hitting it and the effects of the nicotine so yes, it is an addiction of its own
@NJ-wb1cz
@NJ-wb1cz 8 ай бұрын
Which is why the only correct way to vape is to 1. NEVER vape any liquid with any taste and nicotine. Anything with any taste (including the tobacco taste) should be just for that taste and contain 0 nicotine 2. And if you want nicotine - use a pure base liquid without anything else other than glycerin and pg suitable for your device, and the most minimal amount of nicotine. It's preferable to buy pure high quality glycerin and add nicotine yourself if you know your stuff, but not every device can handle pure glycerin and you can mess up during mixing, creating much stronger liquid than intended. And vape nicotine only randomly. Not tied to the time of day or to any event or mood. Like, definitely not as part of your morning routine, and definitely not every time you feel sad or bored or anxious, and definitely not every time you need to focus, and definitely not every time you see your friends. In addition, regularly take randomly long breaks for a few weeks or even months - it should be easy since you can just continue vaping your flavors that contain no nicotine. And if you feel it's not really that easy - take a longer break, half a year, a year, whatever. Being mindful and attentive to yourself is the key, not judging but simply being aware of things you feel 3. Oh, and never ever vape salt nicotine. It's only for those already _seriously_ addicted to cigarettes. For everyone else it's just inferior to regular nicotine, and more addictive due to very short high for literally zero benefit
@NJ-wb1cz
@NJ-wb1cz 8 ай бұрын
Essentially, the point is to confuse the brain and never allow those rigid connections to form. As long as nicotine remains a random thing to enchance your life from time to time, the brain is very unlikely to seriously get addicted to it and will be able to feel good both with it and without it

My quit vaping/smoking story: SO i was like heavily addicted, rolling joints before class and vaping in between them so it was pretty bad. On top of that I was sleep deprived and living basically on energy drinks and horrible junk food, drinking about 4 cans of monster/NOS every day. Just to clarify I go to school on a college campus with the freedom of a college student but I'm still a high schooler. So one friday I'm chilling with my friends then I see the principal and she comes into the room and tells me to go with her and bring my bag. She searches it, finds my vape and my weed. Long story short I get suspended and tossed out of the program and the next week at home is pure hell. I get screamed at and everything goes to shit. My mom doesn't know what to do so she starts drinking more than usual. My dad doesn't know what to do and blames himself because it was his weed and he's a big pothead. I see my choices tore my family down and decide to change. 7 weeks later and I haven't vaped, smoked, or even had an energy drink. On top of that I've taken up boxing and have started training for track Edit 5/2/24: damn I put this here as just a random thing that I didn't think ppl would mind. But I'll update if anyone cares. But these past few months have been kinda wild. I did relapse and I took a hit from a vape but it did nothing for me so I was like damn I really don't need it anymore. Other than that nothing though. I've gotten that taste for nic and weed outta my system. On top of that my grades are way better. When I left the college I had 5 F's in my classes. For quarter 3 tho at my new school I finished with 5 A's and two C's. Right now in quarter 4 I'm at 4 A's, two C's, and one F. I'm still going tho. I also turned 17 in February and I met an amazing girl. We've been together for a little over 3 months now and it's been amazing. She really pushes me like nobody else does and does nothing but supports me. We got about 6 weeks of our junior year left. But for college we'll be moving to a neighboring state where we'll live and go to school. That's the plan at least. Also my parents have gotten back to themselves. My mom still drinks but not as heavily and it's more of a casual thing now. My dad still smokes and I stay far away from his stuff. I've been trying to rebuild my relationship with them back up and am trying to restore their trust in me. So far it seems to be going good. Also I'm gonna introduce my girlfriend to my family real soon. I want her in my life forever and some ppl will call me stupid but Ive already made a big decision about us. Let's just say it involves a ring and she said yes. But I could care less what ppl think about that part. Yes I'm a dumb kid and ik we're young but it doesn't matter to me. Thx for everyone who had kind words and I bid everyone who's still working good luck.

@@L3G1T_DC I’m 14. I don’t use weed (well I have once for Hindu religious reasons in varanasi as bhag lassi) or vape. But I do dextroamphetamine (on prescription) have 2 scoops of ultra high-stim pre or 1 scoop of my own an hour later (this is the only way how I know a vape tastes coz I asked Juul what flavoring they used for the mango pods, so that I could have it in my own pre. I got the industrial name.) and then 6 scoops of gamersupps gg decaf. This is for one reason: I need all of this to focus. The legal speed pills my psychiatrist gives me, the DMAA and dmha i buy, the caffeine, it’s coz I have ADHD. Stimulants are the only way that I can act like a normal human being, even after therapy. But Yh I don’t vape coz nic is shit, so I called Juul just to ask what flavor they used for the mango pods. I’ve had one bad drug experience that I would rather not talk about on KZbin though. It was with Medikinet XL, what I was prescribed for a month and a half prior to dextroamphetamine (started that this September). I started the insane pre in September too, and honestly living the way I do has changed my life for the better. And before anyone goes ‘but do you actually do sports to have pre?’ Or ‘isn’t your heart rate like 200bpm resting?’ Or ‘do you sleep?’ Then here are my answers. 1. Yh I have a gym in my own home and I do sabre fencing too, I’m one of the top ranked fencers in the uk for my age group. 2. My hr is 160 maximum on all of this stuff, and that is during intense exercise. 3. I do sleep, and I sleep well. Edit: I FOLLOW MY PRESCRIPTION BTW, I DONT ABUSE MY MEDS

Mushrooms are very medicinal. This is why anybody familiar with psilocybin and any other kind of fungi will tell you, "They are alive." They have a very ancient wisdom. To my experience, all mushrooms have always said, "Pay attention to your life. How you think, how you feel, and what will you do with the information that you always knew, but now are seeing in this point of view." This is why mushrooms are so respected in tribal cultures. This mental health treatment works for me too. Half micro doses do the trick for me. At least a few days at a time with lengthy time in between. Never addictive. Thank you for sharing this point!

Im 5 weeks clean right now after being a chain vaper for well over 10 years. The withdrawals are weird, somedays im barely even thinking about vaping, and others I feel physical cravings. For anyone out there who has quit or is planning to. Having something you can take when you have cravings helps a ton. Im currently using strong mints, the sharp inhale from the fresh mint actually gives you some sort of throat hit. Ive conditioned my brain to get satisfaction from that whenever I have nicotine cravings. Also I keep reminding myself that quitting is literally the easiest thing to do, you just DONT vape. Just stop. Its literally not doing something, cant be easier.

I know that the video is more about vaping, which is done basicially everywhere, but that part is the main reason why i like cigaretts this much. There is just no real alternative to it. The cigarette break is initated easily in like 5 seconds, always lasts for about 5-10 minutes, depening on how quickly you somke, and allowes you to do the consumption passively, while being able to think about work/problems/ other stuff. Nothing really comes close to it...

I completely get where you're coming from. There's something about having the oral fixation and being outside that just hits different... I decided to start doing "coffee breaks" outside when I'm really craving nicotine. I'll make a cup of coffee and stand on my back porch to drink it. It's definitely not the same, but there's something about the movement and the setting that replicates the good parts of a balcony cigarette break

@@alexiamccullison8091 yea man what you are saying is 100% true. The coffee is a good idea. I too tried it once I think, but it just didn't feel the same. I have extremely good news for you tho: I have now quit smoking for around 4 months and am not craving the cigarette break at all anymore. You wanna know why? About 2 months ago, I bought one of those disposable nictoine free vapes for like $7. I used it like a cigarette until it was empty. You'd think I'd feel the need to buy a new one? Nope. Not at all. I haven't bought a new one to this day. This completely rewired my brain to not think of the cigarette break as a rewarding activity anymore. Prolly since there is no more nicotine realeasing dopamine from doing this activity. I'd really advise you to try it mate. It helped me a lot and with quitting. While I before constantly had the urge I need to resist - I nowdays don't even think about it anymore. I wish you good luck on staying clean :)

I quit vaping nicotine recently, and what made it significantly easier for me was transitioning from vaping 50mg to 30mg to 3mg to 0mg. Once I got to around zero, it was nothing worse than breaking the habit of daily vaping. I don't think I am going to quit nicotine since I like the taste of cigars, but the amount I use nicotine has decreased drastically.

I smoked cigarettes for 10 years and vaped for another 5, and with vaping I realized that I was more dependent on nicotine than ever. Quitting smoking is a long process. You don't succeed the first time, but little by little, with each new attempt, you become more confident and learn how to deal with withdrawal. It's hell, but do everything you can to last 14 days, it all depends on you, don't give up. What helped me a lot was Nicorette gum and daily physical activity, but even so the process was difficult, goddam still is, but the urge come and soon it goes away, I promise. I wish strength to everyone who is on the journey, regain control of your mind. Choose life.

Yes having that sweet sweet buzz of nicotine after you wake up in the morning or just whenever you don’t feel good mentally is so f*cking amazing but it’s not worth throwing your money into something that is slowly killing you. so if you don’t smoke/vape already don’t do it and for those who are trying to quit like me keep it up king you got this.❤️👑

I’ve only been vaping for a couple months now and it’s horrible. I feel bad all the time. I’m currently on a family holiday for Christmas and I have been craving a vape all week. It’s so bad. I impulsively ordered a couple online to my local post office and I regret it. I’m most likely going to pick those up on Friday and relapse. It’s a horrible cycle. If you don’t vape or smoke just don’t. It’s horrible. I started because I thought it was cool but all it’s done is make me depressed. I have a dependence on it. I struggle with panic attacks and recently smoking it vaping is the only thing that stops those. It sucks dude. To everyone trying to quit, stay strong

Im sure my story of quitting vape may lead to others thinking its easy but just dont vape if you have never vape before I am studying abroad in UK for like 8 years now and I go back to my country every summer and holiday, I start vaping like 2 years ago and got used to it pretty quickly. I never had the thought of "quit" vaping but last summer the law in my country makes it illegal to import and distribute vapes, which makes it lot harder to get one when I am back during holiday (bringing one in the luggage is illegal as well). I end up just having 3 month not vaping and somehow I dont feel anything, I do have the feeling of wanting to vape from time to time especially during work when I am stressed af but for me quitting seems pretty easy. Problem is when now I am back to UK getting one is too easy and I got back to vaping again. There is time when I tried to stop cause I think I am spending quite a lot on vape (I go through a 500ml in like 5-6 days) and quit for like 2 week and always got back again. For me to quit is just hang out with friends who doesnt vape and dont get yourself bored just find something to do For me idk why I doesnt feel anything when quitting but yea just dont do it if you havent tried it, now everytime when I cough or feel something weird with my body I just think maybe cuz I vape too much just dont do it

I quit vaping when switching to cigarettes, because with vapes, you can just rip that shit wherever over and over again, but with a cig, there's a process before you can smoke, you have to go outside, get your lighter, make sure its not too windy, etc. There's all these steps in the way that makes it so you just smoke less, I used to vape continuously and now I barely smoke 2-3 cigs per week

Withdrawal effects are like super individual for everybody, for me it wasnt that bad like it’s shown in a video. No feeling sick, no brain fog, no extreme anxiety. My advices - dont throw ur vape right away in a first day, just hide it from yourself somewhere, it is going to be much easier to throw it in a trash bin after a week or so, when main withdrawal phase is over. Also buy some sugar free mints like Fisherman friend and pop it whenever u want. For me its 1.5 years nicotine-free after 9 years of smoking n vaping. Keep it up boys! If you can avoid nicotine for one day means you easily can quit forever. Stay strong, good luck!

to anyone trying to quit: don't be mad at yourself when it seems like you have failed. every attempt helps sever those links in your mind. for example, the last few times before I quit nicotine for good made me feel like i was never going to be able to quit. I just kept trying and at some point i just was able to. it felt so good to finally be free and made me feel like i could actually accomplish things in my life. also,: loads of people on the internet talk about how vaping has helped them quit which makes it seem better to vape just to nicotine. That tends to really not work for most people. Some people benefit from vaping, i am sure, but that doesn't mean everyone will. Mostly, in my experience and from what i've seen, it just makes you more addicted. Same with zyns or gum or any other nicotine. Nicotine is still nicotine. it will still feed your addiction and in most cases does not help. just keep trying. please just keep trying. you will break the cycle eventually.
