Sir, Why can't we consider that when the equilibrium breaks the whole system will move towards the left..?

Dear Naeem, for the given condition where we want to hold 5000N block, we cannot think so, lets try to simulate one experiment..suppose initially w is zero, so the 5000N weight will fall down and system will move towards right side. Now lets increase W gradually, a condition will arise when 5000N wt will not fall and system will in equilibrium now. this state is known for holding the block. suppose you will keep increasing W, a second state will arise where W will pull the lower wedge towards left and 5000 will lift. , this break point is corresponding to statement of lifting 5000. so movement of system defined from this statement, whether you want to lift 5000 N or hold 5000N. I hope this answer will help you.
