We don’t need a WR1 to win (example the chiefs) !! I believe in Herbo ! He will elevate the WRs give me a running game and a good oline and we will be a better team!

I do hope you’re right, and I do think Herbo is that guy! With the Chiefs though they technically did have a WR 1 in Kelce, he’s much more of a slot and our TE’s are well below average. To follow that Chiefs model our defense will also have to step up tremendously (which I do think they will with Staley gone😂)!

I agree with this so much. QJ showed the ability to get open or atleast put himself in spots where Herbert could throw him open. He fixes his hands & he’s worthy of comeback player of the year.

There is no Aiyuk trade. We do not have the cap for Aiyuk as he will be looking for a long term deal. We will most likely have 15mil this year which would be Aiyuks dead cap we have to eat... and 100MIL next year barring who were keeping. This is not Justin Herberts cheap year, he just signed a 5 year , $262,500,000 contract til 2029. We are already rebuilding hence why we drafted so many WR's to see who comes out on top during training camp. Not all are gonna make the roster or practice squad. Don't forget, we are running the shit out of the ball.

We have about $30 Mil in cap space, which is more than enough to cover Aiyuk’s 5th year option, so we would at least have him as a 1 year superbowl rental. And then the following year we will also more than likely have most of Joey Bosa and or Khalil Mack’s contract coming off the books as well as more of JC Jackson’s contract coming off. So we technically would have the cap space depending on other moves, but again we could just sign him as a rental. And it is Herbo’s last cheap year. His extension doesn’t kick in until next year. I do agree with you about the running but that’s why Aiyuk would fit so well, when you look at SF’s offense all their receivers can block well and run the ball themselves

Palmer,Q,Ladd,Rice all make the team 5/6 maybe 7th are up for grabs and I believe C.Johnson has a spot unless two of those UDFA WRs completely show out in camp or a WR becomes available after June 1st/camp I wouldn’t be so sure about Davis making the team

49ers are not interested. They will not have any issue resigning Aiyuk. Nor will they trade him for less than a 1st. They'd rather lose him in free agency than trade him since the 49ers run the best comp pick draft game in the league.

That’s not what I think at all, it’s just a roster construction problem. (Not including the undrafted free agents) we have 8 wide receivers and they’re meeting with MVS today. We can only carry 6-7 max on the active roster and the only pieces we could trade are Palmer & QJ, or else them signing Chark and meeting with MVS is a complete waste of time and cap space. It just seems odd that the organization would spend cap money just to have a camp battle and cut Chark (and MVS) if they sign him. Wouldn’t make sense to move Darius Davis, and wouldn’t make sense to move Palmer (the best receiver we have)

How many super bowls have they won not going all in? Its just stats at this point that the only two consistent ways to win a superbowl are stacked team with a QB on a rookie deal, or good to great QB with a generational defense/ and or team surrounding you. The Chargers still have one more year to try the first one (last cheap year of Justin Herbert’s rookie contract before the extension kicks in), especially cause it’s not like a singular trade dooms the franchise if it doesn’t work out, as long as Herbo is on the team they can compete, but why not let him compete with the best team possible

There’s no one right way to GM you’re entitled to your opinion! I wouldn’t say it’s nonsense, it’s analytics at this point to go all-in on a QB’s rookie contract (this is Herbert’s last cheap year) plus the fact that the WR room is incredibly crowded they’re going to have to cut or trade at least 2-3 guys. QJ and Palmer are the only tradable receivers on the roster and Palmer (at least until McConkey proves it) is easily the best WR on the team. Of our receivers (not including undrafted free agents) which 2-3 receivers would you cut or trade? I’m by no means anti- QJ, it’s just most likely the smartest move to make if a team would give up a quality piece for him (which again even in the video I said this probably won’t happen)

I think it's a great idea. A true #1 receiver would change the receiver cord: IUKE, Palmer, McConkey in the slot with Rice back up and whatever 5th receiver makes it.
