LA Fitness has a pretty simple pricing structure, unlike some other big box gym in the same price range.
Depending on location, expect to pay about twenty five to thirty five dollars per month with a year long contract, or a little bit more for a shorter commitment.
Overall, LA Fitness is a pretty affordable monthly gym membership. The only cheaper options are Crunch and Planet Fitness, but neither measures up when it comes to amenities.
That makes LA Fitness one of the best value gyms around.

LA Fitness should be within most people’s range, but what do members actually get once they join?
When it comes to equipment, LA Fitness clubs are usually quite large and well stocked.
You should be able to find everything you need here.
It won’t stack up to the quantity and selection you might find at a higher-end club like Life Time, but it’s rare that LA Fitness won’t have what you need.
LA Fitness also has lots of room outside of the main machine areas.
Depending on location, you might find a full spin studio, a yoga studio you can use when classes aren’t in session, plus a big matted area for stretching, warmups, and calisthenics.

Better yet, they’re all available as part of your membership, with no extra hidden fees.
The variety and frequency are great, and you could join this gym solely to go to the classes and still get an amazing value.

Not all gyms offer childcare, so consider this a huge plus for LA Fitness.

Drawbacks to LA Fitness
LA Fitness is truly one of the best mid-range gyms around. It’s hard to beat the selection of equipment, classes, and other amenities for the price.
But it does have a few drawbacks.
First, LA Fitness can get crowded.
That’s a good sign that it’s a solid value, but it does mean the clubs can get pretty packed during peak hours.
Second, the aquatics are hit and miss
LA Fitness usually has great aquatics set ups, but every location is different.
Some clubs have pools but no hot tubs. Others don’t offer anything.
If you happen to live by a lower-tier LA Fitness, you might be out of luck.
Finally, while LA Fitness is affordable for what it offers, if you’re mostly looking to use the cardio equipment, you’ll get a far better deal at Planet Fitness or Crunch.

LA Fitness is hands-down one of the best value gyms in the country.
It’s a great fit for anyone who likes to lift weights, use the cardio machines, or take different group classes several days a week.
You’ll also usually find a pool at no extra cost, and you’ll get great on-site childcare for just a few extra bucks per month.
However, there are cheaper options available if you don’t need all of these amenities. And if it’s a high end experience you want, try Life Time or Equinox instead.
Overall, though, it’s a good idea to tour your local LA Fitness before you join a gym. No matter what your workout style or budget, this club should definitely be in the running.

I just signed up to LA Fitness and I'll tell you this they don't have all the equipment that the other gym I went to used to have but they do offer different amenities. Like a swimming pool which is another way to workout besides using cardio equipment. They have a basketball court and other things like that that the current Jim that I was at. Didn't offer the only problem with LA Fitness is some of those amenities you have to pay for the upgrade. And one thing I notice about LA Fitness at least my location there's no Wi-fi so it's hard if you want to listen to Spotify without running up your data the last time I had. Cheaper membership free Wi-Fi that other gym. Had a 24-hour time frame. But this one I would sacrifice the other amenities for the Wi-Fi just because I like using my phone for Spotify podcast and other things but at the end of the day I can still get the same workout in at my old gym compared to LA Fitness.

T-mobile has unlimited talk, text and data for reasonable price, get signal every where and unlike when I had Verizon the bill is always what my contract says it is monthly even when I travel across country.

I have Verizon right now it’s great I pay 464 for 5 phones and a wifi hot spot you should it Around 80 per phone and I get unlimited talk and text

@@AbdullahArguer will I know the LA Fitness that I go to he could deadlift you have kettlebells they have a lot of variety of machines but again what is your goal are you trying to be a bodybuilder or CrossFit athlete or just somebody who looks weights occasionally and I would say Crunch Fitness is more along the lines of Planet Fitness is there going to be cheaper in price but maybe not the best overall for hitting your goal cuz if you have no idea what you're doing. It's good to get a trainer take a fitness class and that is what LA Fitness does offer a lot of Fitness classes that can help you get into shape

I go to LA fitness regularly. The toilet stalls and showers stalls have seen better days but, it’s still a solid gym.

I acquired a personal trainer in San Antonio, and the only thing they had I found out after weeks were inexperienced trainers that really didn't know how to properly address my fitness needs. I am 62 years old and had back surgery, thus the reason why I thought getting a personal trainer would be a good idea to prevent injury and make the most out of my workouts. Man was I wrong! The thought that I was not getting the level of service and knowledge that I was paying for kept running through my mind. I had an evaluation just to have a guy cut it short and said he needed to look up options for me. So after never ONE CLASS and 245 dollar per month I asked to have the service cancelled (just wanted to keep my membership). The General Manager Brandt Badouin brought up a predatory contract which stated that I had to pay $337 to buy-out the contract that I signed. Yes, I'm aware that I signed it but I strongly believe that ethics should come first and if I wasn't getting what I paid for, I should have been able to just cancel. So helping people comes after the dollar apparently. I just paid the fee and received absolutely nothing Yes thats right NOTHING . LOL I was upset thing that these guys that ran business this way were run out of town years ago . Just beware. Yes I owned it .Yes is just the only way some no how to do business . Lesson Learned

LA Fitness gyms can vary vastly in quality depending on the area it's in. In shitty areas, it's no better than a run down 24 Hour. In nicer areas, it can feel like a luxury spa center. It's crazy really.

Love my LA fitness they are very engaging and their trainers are always friendly. They have DJ on Thursday and Fridays 😂. They also have a pool basketball court racquetball punching bags bunch of classes and amazing selection of Free weights. My only complaint is that it is pricy I pay $35 per month but value trumps other gyms

Had a membership for a little over a year because the one next to my house was nice as hell. But I noticed if I went to any other la fitness it was always one of the nastiest places. I couldn't imagine paying 50 a month for those gyms. Shit they looked worse than the 10 dollar off brand gyms. I guess it depends on where you live. I don't think it's worth it.

It's 50 dollars a month not 30 and you have to pay a 59 dollar annual fee 2 weeks later after you sign up so the cost your saying is not true plus you have to pay 30 dollars extra if you want to bring guest it's a up charge for that which is crazy

I just asked the manager at LA fitness on touhy in Chicago to turn the hot water up on the jacuzzi a little bit it's only at 100° where it should be at 110 and he wouldn't do it.

The woman's locker room is filthy and the swimming pool is toxic ( I question the water safety) last night I swam with my friend she said the water looked cloudy to her this morning I am at urgent care with a UTI infection. Other than that I love the machines.

As an ex employe, it doesn't wort it, is expensive, and the company doesn't care about manenence. Sometimes, you need to wait more than 4 months to se sometimes fix it, the gym can't guarantee you to keep your traner becouse they pay $6 per session that means the can't keep the trainers for a long time there is no motivation to keep the job, an the criteria to choose the Aerobics instructors is just ridiculous, just take a closer looks to the instructors, all of them out of shape, I ypo want to waste your money choose LA fitness

The main reason I joined LA is the pool. Unfortunately, the pool is always cold as ice, cloudy and out of service. There's no other reason for me to go, classes are always so full and I can't even move around. Poor customer service by the manager; I just cancelled my membership.

Consider signing up for a membership at your city’s civic center. They sometimes have amenities that rival lifetime fitness but for at the price of planet fitness.
