Que bella es la Guajira, la visité hace 20 años y lo triste es ver que la pobreza parece peor... Gracias por la calidad de tu video.

This was a great video to see how a person can be helpful but change their mind in what is the best way to help. Sam you continue your journey and keep sharing and showing compassion. Great video again.

SAM that a company from your country Australia( Bhpbillton )and 2 more countries Owns 100 percent of the carbon minding in LA Guajira since 2000. The people in La Guajira were promised schools better life conditions for this agreements but instead eviction and misery .Hundreds of kids have die from hunger since then .. In my opinion the best way to help is yes bringing new companies and entrepreneurship in all colombia but taking accountability...and not taking advantage....in regards La Guajira it will be nice as a citizen you getting in touch with your local officials in Australia demanding answers to this matter from this company ... and pushing it. The kids in La Guajira deserve dignity... a box of juice is a start🙏

Privileged people have a hard time seeing the world as it is. They see how they want it to be for themselves - more, more, more and more. For many, due to what billionaires would lead you to believe - the Poor are the root of the world's problems. They'd actually have us believe that the Poor are powerful and dragging them down.

Wow is it good that you are generous, but then again it might not be good for them, since they are getting used to depend on getting things without working , it's sad the kids are even asking for money, again not a good thing! Sorry just my opinion. Hopefully like Sam foretells, the region will prosper within the next 10 years or so through the ecologic tourism industry. Hopefully this will provide jobs for the people of the region, in order to create a set of mind in which "You are required to work in order to depend on your own", again just my opinion! ( I am from Colombia).

Imagine if tourists dumped a lot of money on the locals? The disparity would be the same. Inflation is a tool of the owners and the rich. The aspirational have sympathy for those whose lives they want to adopt. It blinds them to those trampled under foot.

definitely don't like giving handouts along the road. I'd prefer organizations and govt. address their needs. begging is not sustainable and bad behavior. If the land becomes uninhabitable due to the environment they may need to consider relocating. The land is always changing and sometimes has to be abandoned until climate returns to something they can sustain themselves in.
