You know? I think that this is the only transcription (to my knowledge) of the trumpet solo at 3:59. I’ve been looking for what’s played for YEARS, but glad to finally see it somewhere. Cool stuff!

When I hear this song, I think of different possible life paths; those taken, those not taken. Lives that could’ve been that aren’t, ones that are that may not have been. For me, this song is all about matters of the heart.

That measure at 2:01 is weirdly addicting to me and it’s stuck in my head. This is really good and now I’m going to try to learn to play some of it.

I don’t ever comment on anything but just wanted to say this is incredible! I played the french horn through most of school but had some health issues in my final year which meant I had to take a break. I’ve struggled to keep it up through uni but every time I see one of your videos I feel inspired to. Thank you so much for keeping my love of the instrument alive!!

Mon dieu Marc! Your sound is so raw, so beautiful and intense. I could not stop myself from weeping and I was completely transfixed. The original music is so incredible and you transported me back to how emotional I felt at the end of the film the first time I saw it. I am definitely going to buy this arrangement and have a go myself and if I can even capture a tiny slice of the soul that you put into your music I would be a much improved horn player. Thank you once again for such a brilliant video, keep making stuff like this. You are an inspiration to us all!

Update: What have I signed myself up for?!?! Been practising this for a while now, will learn it even if it kills me! In some ways that's the thrill of the instrument: what doesn't defeat us makes us better players!

Man you guys are amazing. I am in the LSO & you guys could walk in to the 2nd or 3rd chair easily. It's great you are spreading the Universal language. Music is a wonderful way to meet people, travel the world (Even with some semi-professional bands), get life long friends & here some of the greatest music in the world conducted by some of the greatest conductors in the world. Many years ago when i was around 22 i was asked to fill in for a sick player & the conductor was some guy i never heard of called Valery Girgiev. It was only about 10 years ago someone told me he was some famous, legendary conuctor who was very famous in Russia & the band was the Sydney Symphony. I just did the concert & left, never asked the name of the Orchestra. Unfortunately we did not hit it off well. In the rehersal i wasn't concentrating properly & it was a piece in 6/4 but he was conducting in Twelve. He had a go at me in front of the Orchestra & i called him a little shit to myself. Concert went off with out a hitch thank god. E.T. (Particulary the last 15 minutes, Adventure on Earth) is the greatest music i have ever played & heard in my life. Do you guys have anything in your repertoire from E.T. Thank you so much for your videos & the time you take to produce them. Probably only musicians can appreciate the wonderful music that you give us. Are you guys in your Countrys Symphony orchestra ? You surely must be professional musicians ?

Hi Marc, love your videos! I'm assuming you use a green screen but I was wondering - how do you prevent the green from being reflected in your bell? Whenever I make videos, parts of my horn get cut out because the green backdrop is reflected in my bell. Thanks!
@Marc_Papeghin3 жыл бұрын
Hey Jack ! I actually have the same issue, if you look closely a little part of the bell is transparent and we can see the background...but since it's really small I don't bother trying to fix it ! One trick would be to have a black (or other color) silhouette animated behind so that it fills the holes created by the chroma key :)
