Until coronavirus I took my city’s light rail to and from school every day that I had classes. I also used it for visiting my aunt as well as shopping and stuff. Even though I used it 4-7 days per week, the sound never got old.

They should extend the Red and Purple Lines above ground.
@LincolnAxelWilliam7 күн бұрын
@@TrainSounds they should shut down the orange line brt and make it an elevated extension for the red line and they should extend the purple line south from union stations to Fullerton as a highway above ground extention and they should extend the red line to ontario one day as an above ground extension. they should also convert the blue, green, silver, gold/expo and pink/crenshaw lines into heavy rail metros. Pico - Washington station on the blue line should be underground as well as Willow Street - Downtown Long beach and they should remove the loop and make 1st street downtown long beach. the green line can stay how it is but i think they should make an underground extension to la Mirada and they're also planning on extending the green line to Santa Monica to meet with the gold line. The purple line will be extended to around Beverly hills but eventually should be extended to Santa Monica to meet with the green line. Pico - Expo La brea on the gold line should be underground and 26th street bergamont - downtown santa monica should be elevated. the crenshaw line or pink line should one day be extended to hollywood to meet with the red line and maybe one day a south extension to anaheim. the vermont subway which la has been working on should become the orange line and be able to go to expo vermont station to connect with the expo line and then maybe someday should extend to glendale. the Sepulveda line which la also has plans for in the future should be called the brown line and i think it can stay how it is for a while but eventually should extend it somewhere. i think any above ground station should not have to go through streets so cars can go by easier and they dont have to stop to let cars go by. (sorry if this is a long message but i just had to write this)

Woah! These trains have the same propulsion as the WMATA 1000 Series Cars.
@BraydenBachlott8 жыл бұрын
They also have the same horns as the newer WMATA train cars (2000 series and newer). In the case of propulsion, these Breda A650 trains have their original propulsion, but the 1000 series got it during rehab, which Breda was responsible for doing.

I was on Amtrak Coast Starlight Train 14 and while in the Sightseer Lounge some lady starts blasting her freaking copyrighted music while I am filming and it was just after Portland while attempting to get footage while going over the Willamette and Columbia Rivers. Once she did not stop after like thirty seconds I got up and made sure that as I walked passed her on my way back to Business Class that she heard me say to myself "that freaking copyrighted music is going to have my KZbin channel shut down." Sorry but when people do that it really gets on my nerves.

@Dutch3DMaster7 жыл бұрын
AnsaldoBreda huh? I feel sorry for the municipality of LA. Did these trains suffer from all kinds of weird and unexplainable defects that should not happen in new trains? The Netherlands acquired high speed trains (they should've been running at 155 mph) from the same manufacturer (look up the "V250 high speed train Fyra" there maybe is an English Wikipedia article about it, because the Dutch government lost hundreds of millions of euro's on the high speed project and those trains) and they were downright dangerous and had accidents in which parts were ripped off of the carriages, carpets showed serious discolouration because of overheating batteries underneath the floor, that kind of stuff. When a door got ripped off by the suction of a passing train on the opposite track and another incident showed a part of the roof ripped off with a piece of metal sticking in the air closely to the catanary wire, they were taken out of service and all the accidents were seriously investigated. It turned out that the National Railway company that had written out the concession had gotten several serious warnings not to do business with AnsaldoBreda, but because of a boneheaded management that only saw a good investment in the form of a cheap train, instead of a little more expensive train from a manufacturer that has a good track record, AnsaldoBreda was the choosen one as a manufacturer. The investigations performed by the National Transport Authority Board revealed parts "manufactured to a degree of quality that does not allow high speed operation at all", "repairs made by AnsaldoBreda not up to par with what is commonly accepted and expected during servicing moments of a new high speed train" and "Parts with such a low level in their design process that they showed degredation and wear and tear normally seen in trains having run 10.000 kilometers or more, instead of 100 kilometers." That said, it feels nice to see the metro being just as crowded as it is in Amsterdam.

The old base buy models (equipped with Westinghouse DC traction motors, cars numbered 501-530) do suffer from mechanical issues, however the newer option buy models (equipped with GE AC traction motors/inverters, cars numbered 531-604) have very little issues, they are reliable for the most part.

CARS: No crazy people, no homeless with hepatitis, no MRSA, no tuberculosis, no urine/feces no sick people hacking away and no freeloaders causing trouble, no worries over lack of security. METRO: You save three minutes and save one dollar. I made the choice. LA Metro was a good idea, but in operation, a total failure.
