Homeless is a broad term. Plenty of people in CA live out of their car. I work with a few people who clear 6 figures and CHOOSE to live out of campers to save money. They technically qualify as homeless since they do not have a physical address.

New Years eve, 2023, I slept in my car for a few nights after my vehicle was vandalized. I noticed a couple of guys in a sketchy car, with no bumper, filming or taking a pic of my car. I'm guessing to steal the converter. I immediately checked into a program that allows people living in their car to park their cars in a lot, which is gated and on-site security. LA is trash.

Worst of all - innocent people are DYING, and the police and city/state officials say 'there's nothing they can do about it'? WE HAVE REACHED BOTTOM, what the hell are they waiting for? Drifters & Vagrants - now called 'service-resistant campers'... I love it how the system keeps labeling vagrants and drifters one thing or another to exempt them from existing laws with the goal of not doing a damn thing about the issue. No one seems to be aware that these derelicts have also joined in another familiar label - unlawful enemy combatants. How many more innocent people must die before they do something about it? Move these people into shelters with mandatory rehab & mental health care. Stop using homelessness as photo ops and actually do something - actions speak far louder than words.
