Labadee (Haiti) Cruise Port Guide: Tips and Overview

Labadee is a private resort owned by Royal Caribbean International that is located on the Northern coast of Haiti. The resort area is fenced off from the surrounding area and cruise passengers are not allowed to venture beyond the resort.
The resort features seven areas to enjoy your day in port: Buccaneer's Bay, Dragon's Plaza, Adrenaline Beach, Town Square, Nellie's Beach, Columbus Cove, and the Barefoot Beach Club.
Activities available include Wave Jet Tours, Parasailing, Coastal Adventures, the Dragon's Flightline zipline, the Dragon's Tail Coaster, Aqua Park, the Dragon's Splash Water Slide, and more!

Best thing to do in Labadee is go to the buffet, grab a bunch of bread and walk out into the water and break up and sprinkle the bread crumbs, you will be surrounded by hundreds of tropical fish. Have been there three times now and this is our favorite thing to do, just stay away from the shopping zone, they will follow you until you buy something

That's a complete different labadee lol. Bread only I'm from cap Haitian mile away from labadee A place surrounding by water but only sell bread lol U r funny. And no labadee isn't own by any other people but Haitian I don't know y u do that but this is not fair

They all get pretty busy, but there weren't too many people at the far end of Adrenaline Beach (near the cabanas and basketball court) when we visited.

If you're cruising Royal Caribbean and have a drink package, you can use that drink package on Labadee. Otherwise, you'll need to purchase drinks just like on the cruise ship.

There are a LOT of options available in Labadee, so we highly recommend checking out everything when you get to the port. You'll find plenty of options that are a lot less than $500, including just having a great day at the beach.

We're not sure if you can bring your own. During our visit, the only covers that were available were clamshells and those were available for a fee.

You're not allowed to leave the port on your own. However, there may be shore excursions that do leave the port area.

Cap Haitian the second City on the North side of Haiti From there u r miles away to labadee It's part of the 2nd city But they refused to mention that labadee is located in Haiti it's not a private beach not belong to any Cruise line. Fyi -only go to the souvenir shops at the market place with prices on them -do not venture behind to the individual booths .They are pushy and they wont take no for an answer!Dont bring a purse -they kept tying to look over my shoulder in my wallet-if they stop you outside the shops to take you to theirs-dont go-only downside to the 7day one to haiti,jamaica and grand cayman-first 2 are 3rd world !

Most of the walkways throughout Labadee are paved, but there should also be beach wheelchairs available. Check with the cruise line to see if you can reserve one for your visit.

Yes, we were there before Covid. We spent maybe an hour there and headed back to the ship. Food was not appetizing, was sitting out in the heat with flies all over it.

Unfortunately, this is a poor view of Haiti. This is terrible that they block off the area for people to visit the REAL COUNTRY. I am going to visit and seeing if i should take a cruise or fly in direct. I will be going direct. I am upset how they treat Haitians. and I am not Haitian but I LOVE HAITI. This cruise is no good. I want to see everything about HAITI good and bad. I love it all.

Hello, Can anyone here give a message to the Haitians who are selling Haitian-made crafts at Labadee? Please tell the Haitian sellers/marketers not to sell exactly the same items like statures at all the selling booths. Instead, each marketer should focus on selling one specific unique item. Example, one marketer can sell hats, one can sell only belts, others can sandals, etc. That way each seller is unique. The way it is now, most of them are sells statures and its hard for cruise visitors/buyers to "distinguish" which seller to buy from since they all look the same. Please give this message to the sellers, this will help them out a lot and they will sell more. Thank You! and GOD bless!

Sorry to hear about that! We didn't spend much time in the Town Square/shopping area, so we didn't really encounter them. We spent most of our time on the Dragon's Tail Coaster with our little JellyBean. :)
