As I said in a previous comment and like many here, he's a decent family man and also understandably very worried for the family especially their kids. I don't think I would want to have his position/ job especially in light of recent events. Give him a chance to do things as he's took on a very difficult job.

@@beasmith1 a) most of these pledges were likely to have saved money in the long run if you see them as investments in the population b) The economy was already in a bad way when he made them - claiming that Truss has made these policies suddenly unviable is nonsense c) some of these pledges *raise* money or are free (free movement of people, higher taxes on top earners) so he can't even use the "there's no more money" argument in that regard.
