One of the important advantages of exemption is that the exempted fund can give higher benefit, like annual interest higher than the interest declared by the epfo for the members of unexempted organisations. Besides, in the PF Trust body elected representatives from employees and nominated reps from employer are engaged for taking all decisions. This maintains a homely environment in the Trust.

dear all, I was working with the firm which was exempted but new one is unexempted. After 6 months with new employer I left this job too. I am not working now. Now from unexempted firm I withdraw the partial amount but my concern is this firm which was exempted I was not able to withdraw the amount where I worked for 3.2 years. I even tried to merge the UAN's (Transfer my exempted PF to Unexempted once) but showing error "Details of previous account are different than present account.
