AVERA MEDICAL MINUTE FROM 2015
Sometimes it's the smallest injuries that leave us with the largest amounts of pain. Ligament and muscle pulls are not fun, but if those injuries are putting a damper on being active, a solution could be within reach.

I have a anterior labral tear and swollen lymph nodes in my right groin area. I had a traumatic injury 2 years ago to my right leg and I've had chronic pain everyday. I don't want surgery so I've decided to start building my hip muscles around the labral tear. I stretch, message the area as well . I pray these natural activities will heal my chronic pain.

@@umit777. I recently had CT Scan with contrast which showed normal. Then I had a MRI the same day AND HALF WAY THRU I could not finish because I had to lay on my back for 30 minutes with my feet turned into an internal rotation position. I may just go into the emergency room.

I’ve done 3 years of shoulder strengthening exercises, and routinely. The muscle and tendons are as strong as they’re ever going to get, inside and out. I had arth labels surgery and the point where the pain is centered, the labrum, is in constant and chronic pain. Went back to the orthopedic dr, and to two more for second and third opinions with a new mri, and they said that there was nothing more that I could do if I did the rehab, WHICH I DID! And still do regularly. Now the problem is severe bursitis surrounding the scapula that cracks and grinds like nothing you could imagine, and of course the labrum feels like a fresh gunshot would no matter what I do. But, I am not looking into what I just discovered as an arthroscopic bursectomy, and also maybe stem cells, neither of which I have the funds for as of yet.

That’s unfortunate. I have dealt with my labral tear for almost my whole life. At 29 I just saw an orthopedic surgeon today that does the surgery(previous doctors I saw did not do it) this doctor says I’m prefect candidate for the procedure and I will heal very fast. Still haven’t scheduled surgery but I will in a few months

I finally got an MRI with dye and have a tear. It's been two years and 7 months of going to different doctors, all who misdiagnosed. I tried PT 3 times but nothing has helped. I see a second surgeon in January because my surgeon does not do this kind of surgery. He says very few know how! Is this true?

I had a laparoscopic labrum tear repair and did not heal how It was supposed to. It’s been a year post op and I still don’t have full range of motion. I still have a tear in the opposite hip and no plan to fix it temporarily because of the lack of range of motion. Physical therapy did not help much. Any advice?

Honestly I have been through this same crap. And I was so demoralized and thought there was nothing left for me! It impacted my entire right side all the way down my leg and as far as my rib cage! The only solace I found was in a laser LLRT I invested in after trying it in clinic and it gave me so much relief. My pain is 85% gone unless I am going through a flare up when menstruating. It’s called Bioflex Laser. I was extremely skeptical and put it off for a year. When the pain got really bad I tried out at clinic. Saw results, bought a home system. I am seriously amazed r that this technology isn’t more mainstream

Labral tears can occur in people of any age. There is typically no age limit as to who may be a candidate for surgical repair, though a person’s overall health and chronic conditions could limit a person’s ability for surgery.
