Could you please let me know the answer for this question? you assigned binary 1 for coil#1, binary 2 for coil#2, binary 4 for coil #3 and binary 8 for coil #8. Now how each one of these binary numbers are assigned to its intended coil? I mean what will happen when sending binary codes out of the DAQ assistant and how can we make sure that for example binary 8 will only energize coil #4? Thank you again for the excellent tutorial.

the video is interesting but useless if he does not include the wiring with a stepper drive. It can be one of the best videos but without the wiring diagram honestly I can not understand.

The circuitry is shown in chapter 13 of my textbook and in the Digital Electronics chapter 13 in my youtube channel.
