Can't Believe How Easy This Dandelion Acrylic Painting Is!

I think most of us out here just want to make a pretty picture. And if we can "fix" a hot mess using mixed media, why not? Some of this paper is really expensive plus the time and energy spent . And for people like me "who just want to paint a pretty picture" mixing things up just makes it more fun. We have no intention of selling our art. It's a hobby. Thank you for all you do.

I love the way you teach and scold at the same time because I have abandoned many projects because "it doesn’t look good" or "I overworked it" 😂 It definitely doesn’t help 😢 You’re like the tough art mom ❤

I use a two sided water basin. One side has ridges so I can really clean out the paint. Have you see those? Perfect.

I only use Liquitex Heavy body and they don’t dry high gloss. I’ve been using them for 23 years. They are wonderful.

Coming from watercolor, I need to learn to relax when working with acrylic, with things like my rinse water. Crickets are so obnoxious. I'm so glad my animals all take roaches or other feeders, haha.

Yeah, acrylics are not nearly as picky as watercolor. I have dubias here for the bearded dragon but she prefers crickets. 🙄 My Red eyed tree frogs won't even consider dubias. Too bad, they're SO much easier!!

I totally agree with you about the use of water though! I’ve never had a problem. I hate the slow dry mediums. Gunky and sticky! Yuk!

Am i weird for using blue tack to stick the board im painting on to a larger board so it doesn't move around
