@@ajithks4337 It varies at times.There was a time 5 years or 10 years back where we could only see Masala Tamil movies there.Means there wasnt any experimental movies.Like that ,Malayalam too followed a commercial Formula cinemas in 2000's.And it is considered as the Worst time in Malayalam Film Industry.And that is caused by INDUSTRY HIT *NARASIMHAM* .The movie changed Entire face of Malayali Audience.From there they started to promote Mass masala films only for few years

DQ said it well, but another point is that we Malayalees won't be satisfied unless there is absolute realism from every character, script, dialogue and what ever. The reason why malayalam cinema is the best is because, in malayalam good films are considered good and bad films are recognised as bad. Whereas in other industries bad films are hailed as great films and good films are sometimes misunderstood and considered as bad. And never define a film based on its box office and budget... Nowadays, malayalam movies are getting praises from mostly non malayalees thanks to OTT platforms. i am not degrading other industries. But, if you start watching malayalam movies, your think process will definitely change. Even telugu, kannada, tamil industries also produce good movies with content. But people are not ready to accept real talent. They just blindly watch whatever their superstar does. So mostly movies made in that genre. This is my personal opinion... And, bro try watching some of the recent Malayalam movies without any prejudice... Try watching national medias reviewing malayalam movies. Believe me bro, what Indians see in movies (especially some super star movies) are not entertainment. They think it is entertainment because they didn't see anything else than that. Malayalam movies are the best in our country. Bollywood is trash when compared to Malayalam movies. Malayalam movies are more realistic. For this, none other than the audience is answerable .......due to their poor quality of choices many newcomer Bengali directors lost their courage to make exceptional or tradition breaking cinema......but on the other hand Malayalam films were encouraged by the response of their audience in spite of having entirely new points of view in them.......But the choices of Bengali audience is also being changed day by day, especially the young people now like to watch a reliable and realistic story......and one after one exceptional movies are also being made nowadays, you can watch the movies of Kaushik Ganguly or Srijit Mukherjee, you can easily understand what changes are taking place

I love all South movies. 😘Talking about Malayalam films. They are brilliant. The movies are down to earth. They so simple. They dont show off in glamorous clothing, like Bollywood stars. They respect their culture. They love their roots. I have been to Kerala. What a beautiful place. There stories are gripping. What I love to watch in their movies is the back waters. Most of their movies are filmed around their back waters. And Kerala is so close to my heart. Their house boasts. WOW. The peace , the sounds of the birds chirping. The songs coming from the churches and the temples early in the Morning. That's heaven . I still remember when we got of the boat and went to shop in their little stalls. Beautiful. And the children waiting to get into boats to go onto the other side to go to school. So beautiful. 😘Lots of love to the Malayalam people all the way from South Africa.
