@@pure_blood1 Bodycam footage is automatically uploaded to a storage server that law enforcement does not have access to. if they do have access to it its for the purpose of downloading the footage so they can rewatch it and take notes on it while they still remember everything. "lost bodycam footage" does not mean that the cops deleted the footage, it usually refers to if cops forget to record, which does happen but is rare. The solution to this is increasing size of the storage server so that cops can either always record or have cameras with more footage that is recorded before they press the button, or if they have bodycams that automatically turn on. You're making the claim that police delete footage when they literally can not do that. You're making this claim because you're uneducated and were told to hate police regardless of facts.

In effect, they are. Especially since a bad cop will lie in court. And if it's one person's word against another, the tie goes to the cop. So, essentially, without evidence to the contrary*, they're above the law. *Sadly, even with overwhelming evidence the cop is usually assumed to be correct. But at least a recording offers a glimmer of hope.
