Lacros Thunder E-Bike Review - Full Suspension - Hydraulic Brakes - Unboxing and Assembling

Lacros E-Bike company contacted me asking me to do a review on their Lacros Thunder E-Bike. E-Bike's are a powerful tool I've come to realize to use while out exploring an area I am camped at. The Lacros Thunder E-Bike has a full suspension, All-Terrain Fat Tires, Headlight, hydraulic Disc Brakes, and rear rack. This bike is built for the 5'3" to 6' 5" person to ride. Good review Marc. I do have some advice for those that aren't aware: 1. The U.S, has imposed a 25% duty on all e-bikes from China. All exemptions are ending so if you are thinking of buying, don't hesitate and wait too long. 2. Always carry the tools you need to remove the wheels and repair a flat. 3. Bring at least one spare tube. Using slime is also a good idea to help prevent a flat in the first place. 4. Remove and replace the rear wheel *at home* so that you understand what needs to be done. I have spent hours struggling to get rear wheels back on properly. 5. Keep that plastic brake pad separator in your tool kit (the one Marc tossed aside). It prevents the pads from locking together when there is no disc to keep them apart. Very useful. 6. And, the most important thing to do ... is have a good time riding them safely. Cheers, Steve

Looks pretty good. I'm a big guy, and a rear suspension may not be the best for me. Need to go test a few myself. Cargo ebike might be my better option. Take care Mark.

I was told to buy local from a bike owner,if there is anything wrong you can take it back to the store.

That would be the best bet. But around here there aren't really any EBike sellers. The only one in the area starts out with a $2500 price tag on it.

Thank you for the good review. I am thinking of purchasing either the Lacros Thunder or a Cyclone. What would really help with my decision after watching your video is to know your height. You are able to sit on the sit and have your feet pretty much flat on the ground as well as standing over the bike with ease. I’m thinking at 5’9” and a bit over 200 lbs that I might high center over the bike, as well as not being able to touch the ground once seated. So if you are willing, your height at least would be great to know so I can better decide. Thanks for your help.

Hey! I'm 6'1" 200lbs. The bikes seat height is adjustable. Adjusted it a couple of times to get a good fit for me. I do have the bikes seat raised several inches in this video. I found it real comfortable riding it. The Lacros website says this bike is suitable for people who are 5‘3’‘-6’5‘’. Hope this helps.

I do not. All I can say is they responded to me within 24 hrs via email. The bike shipped quick.
