Eh I have somewhat gotten away, for the most part, what the mainstream American music companies consider "Rock or Metal". Too many have sold out and really just sound alike. Back in the day, I got into Nightwish when they first came out and loved it. Now because of like I said the sound alike bands out there, I pretty much listen when at home to more European Metal. Though I guess Nightwish is Symphonic Metal lol. In the car or at work I am pretty much stuck with the Sirius Rock Channels which I can tolerate until they start playing freaking Metallic and I have to change it.

Really because Scabbia became an official member of Lacuna Coil (then named Ethereal) back in 1996 and before that she did session work with Andrea Ferro, the male vocalist, and Marco Coti Zelati, the Bassist as far back as 1991. Either way they have Evanescence beat by years. Not that really matters, both bands have completely different sounds and to compare them simply because they both have female vocalists makes no sense whatsoever.

Lacuna Coil is the most famous Italian metal band in the world. The singer Cristina Scabbia has a very beautiful voice: with high tones and an easily understandable english pronunciation. Also in my opinion they are the best Italian metal band even if I like several others including: Disarmonia Mundi, Forgotten Tomb, Labyrinth, Vanadium; the latter were one of the first Italian metal bands, founded in 1979 in Milan. Their singer, Pino Scotto, is still very active in the Italian music scene, especially as a metal / blues songwriter. Lacuna Coil es la banda de metal italiana más famosa del mundo. My friend passed me a mixtape of various female-fronted symphonic bands and afew songs from each band. This was one of those songs which really struck me. 11 years ago. Damn son.. now I'm 27! Gosh I feel old.

My exboyfriend gave me a mixed cd having heavy metal songs i guess in 200. This song and a few other Lacuna Coil songs were there. I turned 20 that year. And we broke up in 2009. Now i am 32 and have a 3 year old daughter...but i still love this song. Usually people end up hating even songs introduced by their exes...but me and him we were cool when we broke up. So this song i still love with no hatred to the person who introduced me to this song

I enjoyed Lacuna Coil's Our World back in 2006 so much and it is still one of the very best Gothic Metal songs I heard in my entire life! The song was featured on the CD soundtrack of Kate Beckinsale's second vampire movie Underworld Evolution. I would even go so far to say that Cristina Scabbia's singing voice is one level above Amy Lee's (Evanescence) !

Classico, ricordo quando ho sentito questa canzone per la prima volta nel 2007 attraverso una raccolta di clip su DVD. Poi ho provato a comprare l'album, era molto bello e la band Lacuna Coil è una delle più grandi band in Italia.
