Redwood National and State Parks are located in northern California and home to some of the tallest trees in the world. The the Lady Bird Johnson Grove Trail which is located 2.5 miles off of Hwy 101 and is 6 miles from the Redwood National Park Kuchel Visitor Center. There is no fee to hike this trail. The Lady Bird Johnson Trail is a 1.5 mile loop. The grove of Redwoods was dedicated in 1969 by President Nixon to Lady Bird Johnson for her conservation and environmental work. There is a plaque dedicated to Lady Bird Johnson about a half mile into the trail.
