Your videos make me happy. I love your dog. He knows what makes life worth living. 35 years ago I lived in Mt Shasta for 3 years. Your trip to Castle Lake extended my own experience there. I think the area is called Castle Crags. When I moved from Mt Shasta I went way down the Klamath River where I lived in a cabin 5 miles downriver of the mighty town of Orleans population 400. So I traveled out to Eureka on the coast and so I camped or visited the coast redwoods. I love that they have ferns. I love how ferns unravel their leaves. They require moisture and that's why they are there around Crescent City because they get moisture year round. But you traveled and explored these regions more than I. It's as if you extended my own more conservative adventures and I really thank you.😊

Amazing video today!! The Fairie Realm :) What an amazing walk, so calming. Trees are amazing, so much we don't see in the forests, if they could only talk. Gorgeous, I was out there once loved it. In the 60s we had a virgin elm forest. Unfortunately Dutch elm got it. But we had the largest elm in Wisconsin. It took 5 grown men finger tip to finger tip to reach around it. It was flooded half the year. It was like a magical paradise. We would canoe around the trees and listen to hundreds of geese and ducks and cranes and frogs. When my son was young we took him out there when we realized he didn't want to go. He pointed at the marsh and whispered Ewoks. So cute

Just beautiful. You both have taught me so much about my van and travelling. It funny I never realized you had a ladder. I have the same roof rack and I love it. I’ve been looking into what ladder to purchase and I trust your judgment, Is it possible you could tell me what brand ladder you have? I’d greatly appreciate. I’m still in CA. Los Gatos is my homebase and where I live with my husband for 38 years. I sold the house but my neighbor accross the street from the home I sold, who I knew a very long time, had graciously allowed me to stay on her property. I do have electricity while I’m here. My kitty loves it here also... it’s accross the street on a private rode so he never realized we moved; he still s travels his cat route everyday. I’m glad you are both able to continue traveling and having fun. I just arrived home from Yosemite. It was so strange. No busses allowed, had to have online reservations to get into the park and it was just amazing. For me I wish it were like that all the time. Far to much commercializing this wonderful, amazing and beautiful place. Take care, be safe and keep up the great content.

Thank you so much! Our ladder has been Fine....but I do not think we would recommend it. There is another ladder that one of our van-life friends have that we like much better. Gives us a few days and I will try to get the name for you!

Okay..... let me back track a bit! Our ladder works just fine.... we even backed into a huge boulder and with very little damage. What gives us pause about this ladder is that you have to drill into the door top and bottom. When we installed this ladder we knew that 4 bolts would not be enough.... so we installed 1/8 metal plates (12 inches long X 3 inches wide to sturdy the access points on the inside of the door. You cannot even see them. Here is a link to our ladder $189.00 U.S www.eurocampers.com/83-High-Roof-Aluminum-Rear-Door-Ladder-in-White-Black-or-Silver_p_941.html

We really love this prime design ladder I’m about to tell you about but dang is it expensive $500-$600 U.S dollars 💵 why we love this ladder so much in that there is no drilling needed. It clips over the top of the door and under the bottom of the door! A much sturdier ladder in our opinion. Also Dave just noticed that it is on sale right now for $370 ish .... www.eurocampers.com/2014--2020-Ram-ProMaster-High-Roof-Prime-Design-Aluminum-Rear-Ladder--No-Drilling_p_1892.html

I just watched one of his videos thanks to your tip. I really liked his simple style and camera angles and of course his patron credits. 😀 Hopefully we will get better as time goes on and not have to stop for temp jobs. All keep watching him to see what we can learn, thank you Raymond. 😎

Thumbs up and I subscribed. It’s illegal to sleep inside the park but the park is open 24 hours per day. A night hike with a full moon is interesting and spooky. Nice job on the video. The best I’ve seen so far. I’m in the park every week. Midweek it’s like a private space. During Covid is was quiet.

I know I know exactly where this spot is. It’s right across from grassy flat campground. It’s was a great place to go, until the national forest service closed it down for overnight camping due to a “TOURISTS” and not locals. He went on to say everybody who he catches violating laws are tourist and not the locals.

Poison oak. I used to get it real bad. Now I eat a leaf or two every year and no longer get it.
