Great video, great monents! Family and Children is a big responsibility. There are enemies and intruder. But little Babies understood the threat and behaved quitly and did not move. Lady Hawk, Commenting before I watch this video, I was watching this live. When she jumped down by her babies and started calling out, she meant business!! She had a look in her eyes that said to me, you don't want to be on her bad side. It looked like this intruder had gotten really close and maybe even coming close enough to rain leaves down into the nest. There was at least one Eagle that I saw fly by. It had alot of white on it. Wonder how Eagle hearing is. We know about their eyesight. So how far away was Shadow from his nest when he heard Jackie call out? Once Shadow and Jackie gave chase, I was scared to death that one of them would come back bloodied. Shadow had a fierce look in his eyes as well. I was surprised considering that he is a first time Daddy.I was going to ask if anyone had seen this incident and seen more than I did. This would have been a good time to have had another camera angle. Thanks for the video. 🦅❤🦅

I'm surprised another eagle would even mess with a mom and dad protecting the nest with a lake filled with fish right there as Talons are so sharp they could carve the intruder up pretty quickly.

Ah. Army - THIS is a Screaming Eagle! If you ever wanted a picture, now you have it. Jackie is warning the intruder off and calling for backup. Also note: backup arrives silently, loaded for bear. Jackie takes off to pursue (female eagles are larger than males, don't know if that is why she is persuing or if its just her frustration that she had to cover the babies while the intruder was so close. So off she goes. When Shadow starts calling - and Jackie replies - I found myself wondering what they are saying. Is Shadow encouraging her? Discussing who should be doing what? Warning off the rescue - or flat out threatening it? This just keeps getting more and more interesting! Great video.
