This wasn't the first time Papa M locked TALONS with a female intruder over prey, is this the same one? I believe the prey was roadkill turtle? Difference this time is E-22 defending their prey, Papa M, nest and territory! All these intruders must be displaced from Hurricane season, not sure about other locations except for the majority of Bald Eagles do migrate! Thankfully Papa M and both Es are not harmed! 22 is really becoming a tiger! He looked a bit shaken up there at the end - hopefully not hurt. I guess he watched plenty happen with his papa and the multiple intruders while stuck in the nest, he's ready to go go go! Dad has his hands full still watching out for his kids and his anxious 22 wanting to defend! 22 is just full of surprises every day! ❤❤ And he still snuggles with his sister at night 💞. I'm wondering if, between all that wind and trying to chase down a more fit/toned adult, E22 strained a muscle. The kids are good at flying, but air chase and combat are going to require more stamina and skill/nuance with maneuvering, which I don't think they quite have yet.

Survival is never easy as we have seen all these months with the intruders looking for a free meal. M15 has shown his babies when to fight & when to give in. E22 definitely is his/her mommas baby. We are all in awe of how 22 has turned his life around! 21 has also changed their approach for the better! M15 is THE EAGLE OF EAGLES!!! Its been a bittersweet season that we will never forget....but so much has come out of the despair! Sweet 21...things come naturally to this smart fledging! She/he is relentless and fears nothing! You can see the fighting spirit in both E's but wow E22 has really claimed to kick the intruders out . I wonder if E is a female .. she will be an awesome mom .. but whoever ties to get her attention when she's older has tough competition on comparing to her dad M15 .. if E22 is a male ,, he would become a great Dad himself and will need to look for his own place to build a nest when he comes of age . Either way both babes have become wonderful .. I enjoyed the photo of E22 flying .. even seeing her/him flying you can tell by posture the difference between the two .( remember when he/she started the "snatch and grab" to get the food it needed to grow ? Such awesome creatures . I am so blessed to be able to watch these Gods design

I often wonder - knowing that M15 is a fierce hunter and provider for his E’s - does he sometimes ease up just a bit when an intruder is on his tail trying to steal his prey? Eagles are excellent nest builders. They will tirelessly build and rebuild, make a second, third, etc, axillary nest and continuously do nestorations. They will chase each other to steal the prey and spiral to the ground and risk injury or even death. *What's wrong with that picture?* Is it that they don't know how to hunt and fish? Absolutely incredible 🤯 So many, so many questions in one's head; like how can M, as the smaller male, out-fly the larger female *with a heavy prey* almost making it to his E's? How can M keep up physically with this demanding regime, week in, week out? We hardly see him, and during those times he never really had a nice little crop:( I hope he is looking after himself during all these mad times. E22... whether male or female (I seriously can't make up my mind😆) is absolutely daddy's little helper - has seen and endured so much physicality, to him/her defending dad/prey/territory (and his/her pond!) is as imprinted as making a crop-drop. E21...I almost feel as if this young beauty takes after her papa, in trying to avoid these confrontations; being kicked as a young nestling and her feathers pulled might have made an opposite effect to that in E22? It's been fascinating to watch, observe, learn and ponder around; this family defies all odds and kicks the 'bald eagle 101 rule book' to amaze us every day💚🦅 Dear Lady Hawk, how you are doing with keeping up with all the action, every day is unbelievable to me; so very grateful for all you do 💙

Excellent photos. Another day of training and showing the kids circumstances they may encounter. M and his lady have been showing different scenarios almost every day to them. Guarding their territory, protecting their catch and then aerial confrontation today. It's the only way to prepare them for real life adult situations. I think there are some still who might not be familiar with these daily training classes. She is NOT a real intruder. They all share time and space in the trees behind Cam #3. She's been a good training partner with M. Without her there to help, there would be no way for the E's to see with their own eyes so many different interactions they will be facing when out on their own. It's natural. Kids learn to imitate the adults. Trust the eagles.💖🦅
