Looks like it wewd be a fun one to try. But need to hold off till I can really afford more chids right now.. lots of birthdays and holidays coming up so need to plan accordingly. "this is my favorite Cattleya in my collection" I just got a text from Sophronitis mantiqueira, it told me to tell you 😒. 😉 😂 Now what is somewhat interesting here is the length of your spikes, versus Nina's. I wonder if more direct light, as yours gets, leads to shorter spikes while more indirect light leads to longer spikes. Or if it is variability from the wild population. 🤔

Lol….. I guess I should have said Laelia…. The Sophronitis are on their own little category for me…. Hard to beat, indeed! 😝 I agree about the spikes…. I know in aquariums…. Brighter light will induce more compact growth. I wonder if it’s the same for orchids. Could also be her temps are more favorable as well or feed, perhaps? Either way, that’s a great question!
