Los Angeles Fire Department received multiple reports of a structure fire in 10's first-in at 2600 S. Broadway St. around 1:30AM
Truck 15 was first on scene of a large L-shaped metal-clad commercial storage building with fire through the roof, companies immediately went into defensive mode.
Units due: AR1, CM22, BC701, BC705, BC706, BC11, TF3, LF10, LF35, T9, T15, E3, E14, E215, E21, E26, E443, E474, HR3, UR3, UR88, SQ21, HE1, EM1, EM11, EM13, RA3, RA803, RA10, RA810, RA14, and RA246.
Battalion 11 assumed command once on scene and ordered additional resources, upgrading this incident to a major emergency fire.
"Broadway IC" was able to handle the incident with the resources on scene, including the additional resources requested.
Knockdown was declared in an hour and a half, Heavy Equipment 1 (dozer team) was requested to assist in extended overhaul over the next several hours.
