Now I do and man am I thankful! Adam, your instruction and drills are a god send!! Highly recommend Adam's "Drop 5 Strokes" video as well.

I have not been a subscriber for long, and have never bought a training aid in my 25 years of playing. Currently playing off a handicap of 9, but timing has always been a huge struggle for me. About 15 years ago I shot a 2 under par round. Never done it since, and have never been able to replicate the feel of my swing on that day. My timing was perfect. I have just purchased this swing aid, and really look forward to receiving in down under, so I can take it to the range and work on my timing and tempo.

I'm a single digit handicap, and Lag Shot is hands down the best swing trainer I've ever used. I had been struggling with my game and fighting my swing a lot recently, bought the Lag Shot on a whim, and proceeded to go out and shoot 73 (from the blue tees). Ball-striking was on fire. This is the real deal...I can't recommend it enough.

I hit the 7 iron lag shot straight and high. When I shift to my regular 7 iron after hitting the lag shot, I tend to hit pull hooks. I think one of the problems is the difference in grip size.
@gowithgid32743 жыл бұрын
That's a problem I had (and have when I warm up with the club) The fix may not be in the grip size. I slowed my swing and it allowed me to get through the ball with what I call "dead hands" (no rotation until the ball is well gone). Give it a shot and see if that helps.

I purchased a lag shot last week through amazon. I fiddled with it a little on the range yesterday. It's going to take some work. Is there a way to access or purchase the videos you reference? The best thing about this training aid is not that it creates lag or tempo, it's that it forces you to swing to the target to properly hit the ball instead of swinging at the ball.

Training aids are like opinions. Everyone has one and most of them are nonsense. It took me quite a while to pull the trigger and buy the club. It also took a while for me to be able to hit it straight. But---once I learned how to do that, the magic started to happen. My shots have a much better feel and sound. The trajectory is much better, more in line with what trajectory should be with no "skying" of shots. Normally I fall into the marketing trap and buy swing aides and then return them. This one is not leaving my bag! I'm 76 and playing in the mid-80s.

Hi Adam, I used my lagshot for the first time this morning. I am having difficulty with the "snapping a towel" analogy. I can snap a towel but do not see the analogy to swing a club.
@Scratchgolfacademy2 жыл бұрын
James, With any club (including LagShot) we are trying to store energy (wrist hinge increase as lower body leads transition), then we ‘snap the towel’ near the ball. The body and arms of elite players decelerate coming into impact to allow energy to transfer out to the ball. Hope this helps. Best, Adam

Maybe this is a dumb question...if this teaches you how to create lag why wouldn't you just get really whippy shafts in your clubs?
