I'm curious about the noise that sounds regular when it's neutral, like the first part of the video. Especially when the clutch is held in neutral, the noise becomes greater. You can also hear it in the video. Do you happen to know the cause of the noise? My 20 year old R1150R has the same noise. The clutch disc was not replaced for the 100,000km run. Is it simply a matter of wear on the clutch disc? (The noise of my R1150R is on my channel)

In my case it was the throttle bodies. When I held my finger on the "Axle"(the round thingy in the back), where the throttle cable is connected to, it was quiet.

ciao!

Hi! Thanks for your comment! I'll answer in english, hope thats ok. The slack in the drivetrain is normal I would say, not different from another R1150GS I've ridden. Regarding the exhaust; The KAT is still in place, it's just a SlipOn exhaust with an "E number", so no worries here.

@@StromerKZbin oh sorry i thought you were italian, my bad. Ok thank you. I bought a second hand r1100 gs with a decat exhaust (only 45'000 km) and i am concerned about the bike running too lean... Do you think it's the case or is it ok? Only exhaust without cat, original airfilter. Thank you very much

Haha, no problem! I'm from austria. If your bike runs too lean, you'll see it on the spark plugs. A dark brown would be ideal, all out black is to rich and light brown(or brighter) is to lean. Keep in mind that the bike has to be ridden before you check it. On a cold start, all bikes run on the rich side.
