The road is going to be splited into two ,3 lanes inward and 3 lanes at the beach front but will till reconnect at around jakonde it's to avoid much demolitions as you could see 🤔

The portion you said you don't understand why they are sandfilling it is the final phase of the Eko Atlantic project. If you check online for the master plan of the project, you'll understand. I guess for Hitec, this project was a "one stone to kill 2 birds".

That other road portion being sand filled is to provide access for the remaining portion of eko Atlantic being reclaimed. That particular road will stretch to Marwa, around blue water towers. This is in line with the revised VI master plan.

I think Umahi said in one of his interviews that one lane - the Lagos - Calabar lane will pass through the coast while the Calabar to Lagos will be the more inward lane. I think they’re using the coastal lane simply to create a partition between the neighboring real estates and the other phases of the Eko Atlantic City that is currently been reclaimed. They want that demarcation so bad. And the lane will do that for them.

Nothing wrong with loving or being proud of your city, but you should also be factual. Google most dirty cities in the world and Lagos is near the top of the list. Google most beautiful cities in Africa and Lagos does not even make the top 25. It does not make the top 100 globally. Outside of Ikoyi, VI and Lekki, Lagos is one massive slum, with horrible traffic, highly polluted, crime infested and massive public sector corruption. The two cleanest cities in Nigeria are Abuja and Calabar.

I know you are very curious about the new landfills section going on. That section, they are sand filling, is going to be the new open event beach for music concerts and more. One of the reasons Afronation canceled their inaugural show in Lagos last year was because of a lack of beach space to hold such international event. Landmark management topedo the plan and refused to cooperate to hold the event there. And Lagos State government was pissed of. Hence, the federal government reclaimed its beachfront land from Landmark for a more purposeful and recreational activity for public good. You heard it from me first.
