The role of a bass player: i think the bass is a rhythmic instruments so its meant to sync in with the other instruments mostly the drummer and make they sound cool. Nd do something cool too off course 😂

You are right, but the bass isn't just a rhythmic instrument. Traditionally it was but now it has evolved over the years, that the bass can function in harmonic and melodic stances. So it's safer to say its a Melo-rhythmic instrument.
