The one and only time I've ever taken Vyvanse was to study for a big accounting exam I had. A friend hooked me up with 80mg (way too much for a first time dose) and it did way more than I expected. Hyper focus, immense euphoria, less thoughts running through my head - it felt amazing. The only problem was that I couldn't sleep for 36 hours after I took it. Thankfully I did well on my exam, but the crash from that drug was unreal. For every high there is a low, so be careful! I'm staying away from that drug (and any drug related to amphetamine) for a damn long time.

I can relate to this video a lot. What using Aderall has made me realize, is that there's a creative component to conversation that is lost during the amphetamine high. I used to take ADHD meds when I was a kid and it made me a robot then I got off of it and I have my personality back but now I keep failing in life. I’m currently unemployed with no income because I got fired from my last job. I also dropped out of college because I was failing all my classes. ADHD is a bigger deal than a lot of people like to think it is. It puts you in this tough situation where you either have to be this robot and get stuff done or not be this robot and struggle through life. It’s really kinda fucked up, I always wish there was some way to get rid of my ADHD.

Vyvanse enables ppl with adhd to prioritize things based off importance rather than interest. Therefore, it’s important for them to take their meds so that they can function as normal members of society. Without meds, it becomes extremely difficult for ppl with adhd to commit to long-term goals and aspirations, which has a lot to do with one’s happiness in life. With that said, the positive effects vastly outweigh the negative side effects.

@@ASLUHLUHC3 Imo I’m already bad at connecting with ppl. I have an autistically high level iq that doesn’t resonate well with the average person. Very few ppl exist that I can have a meaningful convo with and it hurts me on some level to feel I can’t ever connect with them. So taking adderal makes me care a little less about others and more just getting done what I want to. More work less thoughts about “feelings” or stress or anxiety basically. I feel like if we exercise regularly, eat nutritious food, and connect with good people and maybe do a little NoFap in between, we will naturally be able to focus without losing any of our soul. It's probably damaging a lot of people and many folks still think of it as like some kind of magic pill, when there's always a payoff with all drugs. Best thing you can do for your body and soul is completely stop. The next best thing you can do is take it as little as possible and lead a healthy lifestyle to give your body the best chance to constantly recover from it.

I've done some reading on the topic. Places I've seen say that if it changes your personality substantially or you become a "zombie", your dose is too high or you have the wrong medication.
@cheebo30543 жыл бұрын
it definitely is that way for me, though i know my anecdote doesn’t really validate this entirely. when i’m off vyvanse, i have a much harder time connecting with people because i get distracted and think about a million other things while “listening” to someone. when i’m on it, it feels like i can actually converse and listen to the person that’s talking to me. i’m on a relatively low dose for my size as well

If meds are supposed to help, I don't think it's supposed to make you feel like a zombie or completely numb to life. F*ck prescription drugs.
@randoman7503 жыл бұрын
@@WeTheEpicCanadians It's just not the case for most people with the disorder that are properly medicated. The current scientific theory of ADHD is based on a chemical imbalance of dopamine, it makes sense to treat it with drugs. Even though it is up to each person.

I stop taking my Vyvanse. It made me stay focused, but it gave me anxiety, seemed to block my creativity, and made me feel a bit numb and disconnected. I stopped taking my antidepressants too. It was rough for a week. I don't recommend it, but it's working for me...I guess. I still smoke some. Best of luck. Thanks for your genuineness. Much love!

Idk man, I get your point and I agree to some extent. However, for people who have ADHD (me being one of them), it really does help. Before I started taking it I would lay in bed until 1 pm, hate talking to people, never get my school work done, and spend all of my time bashing myself for my inability to perform. Now, 2 months in, I'm getting A's in my classes, getting my creative projects done, and enjoying time with my family. It's night and day. I'm a new person. Before I was a robot, if anything. But now I can live. Nuance with all things, brothers. Have a great day!

Vyvanse helped me make it through college, but it also made me an asshole, but it also made me good at gaming and drumming, but it also made me irritable. Its a double edged sword bro. I say only use it when you need it.

I took it in med school and it did not help. I was very stimulated and could not settle down. I found myself focusing on things that I did not want to focus on. I found it just helping me wake up in the morning. Even a tiny dose just made me anxious and grind my teeth. I also did not eat while on it. I talked to another guy that said the same thing. He talked about how when he would try to study his brain would lock onto online poker and hours would go by. I am not giving medical advise. Just my personal experience

i'd argue that addies make you act first, think after - or like act on micro-thoughts and not getting held up by deeper thinking. so it helped me with socializing/connections/etcs

soulless in a way, but in another way it enhances my soul and helps me express myself to the fullest, just less emotional and more logical, like my brain can carry and host a social interaction in a more fluent logical way rather than the intuitve emotional way

Crazy when you were talking about how it kinda feels like selling your soul, and how emotionless you become. Not sure if you know much about Juice Wrld but he’s had a big impact on my life, unfortunately he was put on Vyvanse as a toddler and that selling your soul/no emotions aspect is a huge recurring element in his music. Real talk though I’ve been watching you for YEARS man, I’ll always be supporting. Acknowledging the mistakes you make previously is half the battle, and majority of people don’t even get there. Keep striving, I know you’ll get to where you wanna go. Stay blessed brother 🙏🏽
