I've heard/read people saying this structure deck is disappointing because diabolos isn't a quick effect, or because the virus can't leave the opponent without hand, or because the field spell is just once per turn. Just like people praise the deck because the boss monster is immune to kaijus, because they hate kaijus, while the field spell tributes the opponent's monsters during either player's turn and since most cards tribute as cost, you can't even respond, pretty much like kaijus. I would try out this support with Darklords. King of Wickedness can search the darklords, while Lilith fetches their traps as they're normal traps, and Diabolo has synergy for Rank 8 plays with Surperbia. This is also combined with the fact they have their own themed ROTA and monster reborn with their traps can be recycled by the darklords, and if you want to, you can tech in Back to the front in that build to search with Lilith and setup more plays. Infernoids can also abuse the field spell like you mentioned by allowing you to tribute their monsters for D.D. Crow effects or negate their stuff, and Lilith searches their Void Feast trap... Must be Nice :D

full force and devastation is up to personal preference and the meta. If the meta involves tons of 1500ATk or less monsters, Devastation is preferred, but if the opposite occurs, full force is preferred. Only a matter of time

I don't know if this works so well with darklords. Not, that the above mentioned combos don't work, but Darklords themself are here the problem. Nearly every darklord monster needs a second darklord card in hand to activate it's handeffects. So most of the time you want to see another darklord card instead this new cards. I don't say, that it can't work, but i think the already heavy brick in darklord decks would intensify

It does remind me of the way I played dark world back then. I lived the fact that people were always saying both that this deck was bad because of side options but also that they hated playing against it(kinda paradoxal also I understand what they meant). Have you thought about Doomcal just as extra copies of self tributing monsters? It seems like it is something you should consider since handtraps hurt you severly before the set up is complete. Having doomcal with melody stops ash from ending your turn.

World Legacy Awakening Normal Trap (searchable with Lilith) "Immediately after this effect resolves, Link Summon 1 Link Monster using monsters you control as materials. You can only activate 1 "World Legacy Awakening" per turn." This card is coming out in FLOD. You could set this with Lilith if you already opened a Virus in your hand. With the field spell giving you tokens during the end phase you could go for Link plays in your opponent's Standby with those tokens.

Makes use of your leftover tokens on your opponent's turn. Its not the most competitively viable idea because the card could easily be a dead draw, but it still works and pulling it off to make (best case scenarior) a Firewall or something on your opponent's turn could be effective.

If you would Tribute a monster(s) to activate a card or effect, you can Tribute 1 DARK monster your opponent controls. So it cant be used in Monarchs but it is still a very strong card.

The Field Spell states "Once per turn, if you would Tribute a monster(s) to activate a card or effect, you can Tribute 1 DARK monster your opponent controls *as if you controlled it.*" Meaning that you can use your opponent's monsters to revive itself, because they are treated as your monsters.

As much as I am REAALLLLLYYYYYY excited for this Deck, and I have been awaiting it ever since they announced Structure Deck R, I really hope this Deck has competition. I want to see this not go against Batteryman or Lightsworns, I want to see it go against Pendulum Magicians and True Draco so we see how it plays out there. My only concern is that this Deck seems to overly rely on Recurring Nightmare to get back the resources when you aren't Tributing your opponent's monster, and thus I would consider even running 3 honestly. In fact, it almost feels like the Deck DEPENDS on Lair to have enough resources. It's disgusting sure, but even as one of the biggest enthusiasts of Dia and this theme, I am still not sure this will be the absolute top. I think it is in line for competition for sure, just not sure how well it holds up against the big ones

I agree completely with your point if you build a deck around 3 of the structure decks. However, you got to remember too that this is generic Dark Support, and many decks can abuse these new cards (Field spell with Infernoids, Lilith with Darklords, Burn, and Artifact decks) will utilize them. It's just a matter of time to see which build is the best

Important to consider that Lair of Darkness is not an archetype; it's just a bunch of DARK monsters and DARK support. That means, theoretically, any DARK deck can use them. Think of them as tech choices rather than a deck in their own right. And, crunching the numbers, the Structure Deck has one more new card to show us. Since Lilith is the 000 card, I imagine the last one will be a monster, possibly a Level 5 or 6 to go with the normal patterns. Might even be another Level
