I live in a small port town and live in my private house on the outskirts of the city between a forest and a lake. Over the past month, I've been listening to this album with headphones every day when I go home from work. Forest, lake, winter and all the street is covered with darkness (in northern latitudes the sun sets early) and this release with headphones... what a wonderful atmosphere! I've been listening to several Dungeon Synth tracks to add to the repertoire of a dark fantasy OSR campaign I'm narrating. There are not as many as I expected, but the ones I've found are very good, you can feel that flavor of nostalgia, sadness, hopelessness, mystery and illusion that I was looking for. ❤️

Some of the strange and sad progressions remind me, oddly enough, of Giorgio Moroder's score for "Scarface." You can hear the whole tale of a man's rise from poverty to ascension to kinghood and back again to the dirt caused by his own hubris, in this music. It tells a tale.
