Hiya, Dave. Many thanks for watching. Yeah, Eskdale was the wrong area for this trip, nothing but thick cloud for two days. But as you said, Rannerdale more than made up for it. Once again, Tom, many thanks for watching. I won't forget this day, the conditions were perfect. The inversion didn't last long, so I had to act fast. This is the best drone footage that I've ever shot, plus I got some nice Autumnal shots for future calendars. And on top of that, Diz had a really great time. On a side note: have you read The Secret Valley by Nicholas Size? (The secret valley being Rannerdale)

You've just got to love autumn, especially in the Lakes. This year's has been the best I've seen. Those poets words say it better than I ever could. I haven't read the book, does it get your recommendation? Thanks for watching, it's always appreciated.

@malgreenley-lakedistrictvi5230 If you like old fashioned history fiction about the Normans trying to conquer the North, you might. I read the book when I was 15, still have it though.
