Thanks for taking us along to Illinois with you. Glad you and Sarah were able to be with your grandpa. The paddle board looks fun and maybe one day we’ll venture out and get one.

We're so happy you enjoyed it Cohns family! 💕 Whether it's a kayak, paddleboard, or a boat it's been fun finally have something that gets us out on the water!

Sorry to hear about grandpa Paul. Hopefully it all went well. The lake and your grandpa's place is beautiful! The whole area looked like a lot of fun. We just bought a inflatable kayak. Paddle boards scary me especially in areas with alligators. I would definitely fall off lol. Pizza looked really good! Scary about the spiders. You have to clean the webs off and spray for them.

Always great to hear from you Florida and Beyond! We had thought about an inflatable kayak or even one of those folding kayaks but then settled on an inflatable paddleboard. So far we love it but if we saw any alligators we'd definitely be nervous! We still get chills thinking of those spiders. 😱 So glad you enjoyed the video!

Loved the video and was happy to see a new one up this morning! Just getting around to finishing it now! We have Canada Geese here, I live across the street from a river and a pond where they congregate all the time, along with ducks and occasional cormorants. (: I love lakes but don't care for the bugs! (; The kitchen reminded me of my parents house! (: That lunch looked delicious and the pizza too!

So great to hear from you Freeman! We were hoping you were well after your surgery. It's always fun to watch the wildlife wherever we are. The decor is definitely from a time past! Glad to hear you're well!

Wow! What a small world! We had such a great time out in Alton and met some of the nicest people there. What an amazing gem in Illinois being on a lake. We had no idea such beautiful places like this existed. 💓

Nice video….My friend and I took a trip from Clarksville, TN to St. Louis, MO back in 2016. We went through Southern Illinois on the way. We went up in the Gateway Arch as well. I wish your Grandpa the best!

Thank you so much! He's been doing a lot better since we seen him last. It wasn't too bad of a drive over through St. Louis and is always cool to see the arch. So glad you enjoyed! ❤️

They are called Canada Geese.

That what we've always called them since we see them in Canada when we go. The honking sound was so fun to hear every morning!

Nice video...and I'm so glad you were not bitten by those maniac spiders. I love living in the "frozen north".

That was so scary! We definitely love visiting the "frozen north" 😆 It's so hard for us to leave palm trees and warm water for too long. 🌴

You should be more informative. Where in Illinois what lake etc.. I had to figure it out..I'm a boater my self and interested in boating g on different lakes

Thanks for the comment! There are quite a few large lakes in Illinois but we wanted to give a (little) privacy. We were just showing in general what lake life is like which is pretty epic! From the stories we've heard, it's quite a party on most large lakes where people own boats. I'm sure you've found quite a few!

@@PSAdventures if you are ever up in northern pert of Illinois there's a place called chain o lakes. That's a big part in its self. Star rock is another place that's epic.. huge rock cliffs.. also go further north to Wisconsin. Skiing and snowmobiling in the winter is a ton of fun. Look up the apostle islands on lake superior. Lots of cheap adventures up thg here..
