I would like to thank our Courteous and Very Informative tour guide for a most enjoyable and scenic tour. Captain Justine, your descriptions were Spot On! Great footage!!! God is Good!!! ✝ LFD, you Really took one for the team. My brother some years ago did that with a "bait keeper" hook in his back. Of course the ER or Dr. was out of the question left it up to ME (gulp) to take needle nose and force the fist barb out (like you did) while NOT letting the second barb go in. A LOT of praying and him biting a stick and he lived to tell the tale. Feel better and one word, Antiseptic! God Bless you both and PLEASE, Try to have some fun!!! lol

I'm a lifelong fisherman and had never hooked myself. Not 3 days after watching your (badass) dad remove that hook from his leg did I BURY one prong of a treble hook in my middle finger. I didn't have my side cutters that he recommended (actually meant to throw them in my kit that morning) but I did have my Leatherman. One word of advice to others finding themselves in this situation, it's MUCH harder to push a hook through your own flesh than you would think! Impressed with myself that I pulled it off and surprised that it didn't hurt more afterward. Might want to add this video to the "How-To" list, LFG! Thanks for the tips and helping me keep my cool with a Ratt'l Trap lodged in my hand!

I fish northern Michigan almost every year and for an ol’Kentucky boy one of the coolest things for me is watching bald eagles and loons, and listening to loons and the Sandhill cranes. There’s just something about being in the middle of nowhere watching those sights and listening to those sounds that makes you feel so connected to nature.

LFD you are the man. Years ago I had a buddy hook his dad with a 1oz jig in the right ear lobe. They were on Lake Okeechobee. Funny thing was they didn't have any cutters that would cut the hook. He spent the day looking like a pirate with a 1oz jig earring in his right ear!

I have had that happen to me twice when I reeled in a fish and wasn't able to get a hold on it quick enough. Both times went past the barb. I can laugh about it now but it does make you sweat a little when you push it through. One of the times I slowly cut it out. I made sounds just like your dad. Funny how those are the times you remember most. Be thankful you can fish with your dad and always make time for that! Keep on fishin!
