JJ Reddick is NOT ready, he needs to do what most everyone else has done, earn it by actually being an assistant coach!!

JJ is not a COMPLETE unknown. We KNOW quite a few things: -Former player -Starter, even 2019 -Many years of playoff experience -Great rapport with players and coaches (not just LeBron) -Extremely high basketball IQ -Can break down the game on the offensive and defensive side -Understands the game - how is WAS played, and how it is it played now. -Excellent communicator - not only does he understand the game, but can effectively, efficiently and entertainingly convey information, thoughts, schemes, analysis, etc in a way that anyone can understand. -He has shown that he understands players - asks the right questions, thinks about what motivates, and different personality types, what a player is experiencing or going through, and how that changes in different circumstances etc. The only thing we dont know is, how is he in a leadership position, under pressure, in game. We know he has the in game experience and pressure situations as a plauyer, but how is he as THE leader in those moments.

Exactly....I would prefer Sam because he not only played but won titles, made an all-star team was even all NBA once, but also because he groomed Rondo and Maxey early in their career, played with Akeem, KG and Ray Allen.battled Jordan,Kobe.was coached by Rudy T , George Karl..knows how to be around superstars having coached kawhi,KG,PG, Embid,Chris Paul, Paul P... JJ doesn't have that resume.

JJ is going to be better than James Borrega and other guys out there, there isnt a super star coach so just see what you get with JJ. If it doesn’t work out eventually an elite coach will break free and be available

Lebron is attempting to destroy the mystique of the Lakers and Jeanie is letting him do it. James has turned the Lakers into just another team. His fans have brought a level of delusion into the organization that is unbelievable. The Magic Lakers’ last final was in 1991 and the next was 2000 with Kobe and Shaq. That’s 9yrs. It takes time. Mitch and Jim were building again after Kobe left and looking back we can see all the ALL STARS they drafted. It’s really sad Jeanie doesn’t understand.

They notify Darvin Ham that he might be fired a week before they actually decide to fire him -- if you believe they had not already decided. And now they turn to Mike Krzyzewski as a consultant to help with the next coaching hire. What? They don't have Phil Jackson on speed dial? A one-eyed mole rat could see through this move. I can hear Rob Pelinka now selling JJ Redick as the next Lakers head coach to Jeanie Buss. Pelinka: LeBron wants him. Jeanie: LeBron wanted Russell Westbrook too. How did that work out? Pelinka: Obviously he's a first time coach, so we can probably get him at a discount, perhaps save a million or two over what we would have to pay Kenny Atkinson." Jeanie: I'm listening. Pelinka: Redick would be a controversial hire, cause fans are expecting us to hire a coach with experience. Jeanie: Isn't a coach with experience the safe way to go? We can't keep flippin' coaches, ya know. Pelinka: Yeah, if we have one more coach to bomb, we're going to be in trouble. Jeanie: No, you're going to be in trouble. I'm fine. So how are you going to sell JJ to the fans. Pelinka: I have a plan. Check this out. Let's hire Krzyzewski as a consultant to assist us with our coaching selection. He is Redick's college coach; who is he going to recommend? You know Krzyzewski's statue in the coaching world. Getting his stamp of approval on JJ simultaneously removes a level of controversy and gives us ... ah, me some cover if JJ bombs. Jeanie: Make it happen. And Rob ... this better work. Rob: (gulp)
