I could listen to you guys talk Lakers for hours and hours. As an older fan from the 80s I really enjoy your guys shows. I dont hate the Bronny pick at all but I am all in on the Anthonys criticism of the front office. Ive been saying it for a while we cant trade because nobody likes Rob Pelinka.

I think Raj is right here, the Russ trade has colored this situation, right or wrong, fair or not. The Lakers went all in for that, they shipped out Kuz and KCP, they let Caruso walk, and it instantly ended our title contention. I don’t think they want to trade 3 first round picks plus Austin Reaves for Murray for us to end up losing in round 2 or the WCF again, and then LeBron is done being as good as he is and it’s time for a rebuild and we have no more picks to trade. I’m thankful for what LeBron has done for us too, but he’s not blameless, it would be easier to make a better roster if he weren’t making 51 million dollars or more at age 40 coming up. I get he wants to own a team in the future, but you can’t have it all of the ways, win now and make all the money, some stars at his age have taken less to have a better roster. He also has the ability to opt out and play wherever he likes for less money if he truly wants to win a title above all else, he could literally join any team to try to get that 5th ring.

i agree with your assessment about not getting another second round pick if they do not make moves to go past the second apron. Buying a pick locks you into the second tax apron. If they don't they arent using their assets or correctly taking advantage of the CBA.
